Baby Connick
Baby came to us one night in the cold of the evening. I was sitting in my easy chair and happened to look out one of the small narrow vertical windows that set on either side of our fireplace. All I could see were a pair of green eyes.

When I told Susette about the green eyes, she thought I was joking. She and my son got up to look at what I was seeing.  Then they went outside and saw a cat on the roof, peeriing in the window.

After coaxing the cat from the roof, Susette noticed a big gash in her abdomine. She brought Baby down to our bedroom, dressed her wound, and fixed a comfortable bed for her. She closed the door, and kept Baby away from the other members of the house, (both 4 legged and 2 legged). Baby stayed in the bedroom for two weeks while her injury healed. After that time, Susette let Baby go. She ran as fast as she could away from the house.  We thought we would never see Baby again.

That evening, Baby returned asked to come into the house and here she stayed.

When Baby chose to stay with us, she was very uncomfortable around the other cats and dogs. The other cats would chase her. She eventually became a recluse, staying down in the master bedroom. It wasn't until recently that she decided to come out of hiding and join the rest of the family. Now she begs food with the best of them, Yells her demands for attention and defies me to give her attention.  I'm the only one in the family she does not like. She tollerates me, but does not like it.  She demands attention from Susette and Garret.
