| Madayaw! This year's Kadayawan celebration was a blast! Davao City's Kadayawan is an indigenous rite of thanksgiving observed every August, the month of the harvest. Davao City prides itself as the home of Waling-waling (queen of orchids), Mt. Apo (country's highest peak), Durian (king of fruits) and the majestic Philippine Eagle (national bird). The fun-filled festival features, among others, Indak-indak sa Kadalanan (tribal street dancing), Bagobo Horsefight, fruit and flower exhibits, Floral Fload Parade and endless party in the streets! |
