Willies Jeep and the Kubelwagen
Originally there was going to be an investigation stage before the start of a mission. In the stage the player was able to scout the battlefield in a staff vehicle (the Willes Jeep for the American missions and a Kubelwagen for the German). When it was decided that the pre-battle scouting wasn�t necessary the two vehicles no longer had a function and were removed from the game.
Nebelwerfer and Stalin�s Organ
It was planned to show these rocket weapons firing after artillery support was requested from the map screen, sadly this feature was removed from the game due to hardware limitations. However the Nerbelwerfer can still be heard at the start of the Hill 220 mission.
M3 Lee
This multi-turreted tank was popular among the developers of Panzer Front. With the earliest American missions in Panzer Front being set in Normandy, but which time the M3 had already been replaced by the M4. Without a mission for M3 to appear in, it was pointless to include the vehicle in Panzer Front.
Wirbelwind
At one stage in the development of Panzer Front a Flakpanzer was included in the game to provide protection from fighterbomber attacks. The ability to shoot down aircraft was removed from the game and there was no longer any requirement for the Wirbelwind.
Nahverteidigungswaffe
This �close defence weapon� was going to be included in the shell selection on some German tanks. The anti-personnel weapon was to help the player fight off enemy infantry who had at that stage of development the ability to attack tanks. However when the role of infantry was reduced then there was no longer any need for the Nahverteidigungswaffe. You can read more about the Nahverteidigungswaffe here.
T35
This outdated Soviet heavy tank features as friendly vehicle in the Stike Army mission. However the T35 is not available as a playable vehicle nor is it part of the mission editor available with Bis.
