| The UWM Panthers got off on the right foot under their new coach Bruce Pearl. Pearl is the fastest division one coach to win 200 games in the history of division one basketball. He was named as the coach of the year in the Horizon League this year. The Panthers tied for second in the Horizon League at 11-5. The Panthers scoring was lead by Clay Tucker at 17.6 ppg. Tucker, also, led the team in steals (65), blocks (18), rebounds (6.3 rpg), and assists (3 apg). Tucker was named to the preseason All-Horizon League Team. The Panthers did not make it to any post season tournament this year but with their two best palyers, Tucker and Ronnie Jones, returning they have high hopes for next year. |
