-began his first year as head coach of the football Panthers in 2001 after serving two years as an assistant. He is also Dean of Students and Athletic Director at FHS. He is also the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Coach Pica is a Lancaster H.S. graduate and attended Delta State University in Mississippi on a football scholarship. Previously he was an assistant coach at Hilliard and Shelby High Schools. Coach Pica lives with his wife Nancy, and three children, Mary, Olivia, and Joe in Hilliard.
Defensive Coordinator Joseph Newell
-Coach Newell is going into his first season of coaching at the high school level. He has been a Middle School coach for the past 4 years and is a former Team Captain at FHS. His wife, Dawn, is the varisty softball coach at North Union High School. He resides in Richwood with his wife and son, Carsen.
Assistant Coach David Reinhardt
-Coach Reinhardt (Rhino) is going into his first year of coaching with the FHS program. He is also a former Team Captain at Fairbanks, and was an All-State offensive lineman his senior year in 1996. He will be helping with the lines on both sides of the ball, and with linebackers on defense.
Assistant Coach Kevin Franke
-is going into his third year with the Panthers staff. Prior to his arrival at FHS, he coached football and wrestling in the Marysville school district. Kevin is coaching the running backs, defensive backs, and also coordinates the special teams. Kevin attended Columbus State and is the Vice-Pres. and co-owner of Franke's Unlimited in Marysville. He lives in Marysville with his wife Donna and three children.
Assistant Coach Brian Smith
-is going into his second year at Fairbanks. He recently graduated from Ohio State where he has worked as a student assistant for the Buckeye football team. He spent last season as running backs coach at Grandview H.S. Brian is a graduate of West Jefferson High School (but we forgive him) and is working as a substitute teacher while working towards his teaching license.
Assistant Coach Bob Williams
-attended Euclid H.S. and graduated from Miami University with a BS in Elementary Education. He receieved his Masters Degree in Sports Science from Ashland University. He has taught for 26 years in the Marysville School District serving as head Varsity Wrestling Coach and also coached high school and middle school football, volleyball and track. He is living in the Fairbanks school district with his wife Nancy, and sons John, Robert, and Joseph.
