Character Position: Sailor Fortuna
Character Name: Psyche Malizia Rianima Nella Fortuna
Name Meaning:
'Soul of Mischief Revived in Fortune'
~ Psyche - Greek meaning 'soul'
~ Malizia Rianima Nella Fortuna - Italian meaning 'Mischief Revived in Fortune'
Nicknames: Psy, Mali, stage-freak, that girl with the really long name

Vesper: She-ite that's a bitca of a name (and yes I do mean "bitca")
Dissy: 00;; *nod nod*

Age: 19
Birthdate: March 25,

Dissy: Good! No years.

Zodiac Sign: Aries
Physical Details:
Psyche stands roughly 5'9", her build lithe and agile, the classic hourglass.

Dissy: *sighs and rolls eyes* of course…..

Her hair is auburn more red then brown with natural deep gold highlights. Usually it's pulled back into two braided bun's (Think Diana in human form but braided), with two long bangs cut to her chin to frame her face. Psyche's eyes are a pale amber, and spark with interest, almost matching her dark tan. Her features are mature and sophisticated, often getting her mistaken for a girl much older.
Psyche has an aura of confidence that always surrounds her. She fears nothing and this is especially apparent in her almost imposing gait of devil-may-care.

Dissy: Oo! Because she’s got so much luck so she doesn’t need to worry about that kind of stuff, right? That’d be sooooooo cool!!!

She speaks non-chalantly, almost sounding bored, but when she's in an argument, she's got a tongue that could clip a hedge.

Dissy: Now now, we’ve already got a senshi with an aweful temper…
Larae: o0;; no I’m just irritable…
Dissy: HAH! She admits it…

Psyche's sense of fashion ranges far and wide, but most of her wardrobe consists of pants with a skirt or dress here and there, her tops anything from a baggy sweater to a tube mid-riff. Psyche likes to stand out in a crowd and she makes sure she does, so although her style may not be the norm, it's her own, and she knows it.

Bloodtype: AB

Gemstone: Amber

Likes:
Psyche has five addictions, some of them certainly not the best of habits. Her first is her addiction to coffee, the girl is almost always seen holding a latte or a cup of cafe espresso. This is mainly due to the fact that she puts studying off and therefore has to stay up late to get it done, and that's when coffee becomes her best friend. Her second is speed, she loves to zip through town on her motorcycle, and enjoys startling people with it even more. Why? No one knows. Her third is her unhealthy love of betting, she can't stand to turn down a challenge and she relies heavily on her uncanny good luck. Her fourth addiction is that of debating. She loves to argue anything and everything, often earning her frustrated friends. Her final addiction is the one she's most passionate about, and that's theater. She lives the stage and knows numerous plays by heart, earning her the title of 'stage-freak'.

Somnus: Vesper: What kind of bike? Harley? Ricerocket? motor scooter?

and isn't addiction a bit of a strong word... *shrug* good depth though. Why does she like the stage SO incredibly much? The lights? The smell of fresh paint on sets? The free Pizza and Pop after every big show?

wow check it out I'm having an identity crisis! *scratches out "somnus" and scribbles "vesper-chan" over top*

Dislikes:
Psyche has numerous dislikes, but she only has two that really stand out. Her first and worst is her hate of arrogant fools, she can't stand ego-maniacs, or idiots, and often expresses this opinion openly. Second, she detests failure, and therefore has a certain distaste for amateurs within any field, but mostly in drama.

Vesper: What? no inexplicable hatred of Liver and cheese omellettes? No deep rooted dislike of team sports? *gasp*
Maybe a little more would be nice. I mean ego-maniacs and idiots are bad but some depth maybe?

Dissy: Hai hai, I would have to agree muchly.

Hobbies:
Psyche has only three hobbies, to which she is devoted. The first is working on her motorcycle. She tries to keep her machine in peak condition, often spending hour upon hour, just to clean the damn thing. Her second is patronizing cafe's. She a regular at about every cafe in town, especially 'Cielo et Sette'. She's even got a tab going. Her third and final hobby is that of acting. She adores the stage, and she acts every chance possible. If it's acting like a stupid ditz at the store, to pretending she's a queen among friends, she does it. Anywhere, anytime, so long as she's acting.

Vesper: Why coffee shops so much? you said why she likes/need coffee but why the shops? is it the atmosphere? does she dislike some types (ie: techno vs. Book or big chain, plastic chair)

Personality:
Psyche is a daredevil at heart, she'll take any risk and cannot refuse a challenge. This in turn makes her foolhardy and impulsive, but also very courageous. She fears nothing, and refuses to back down. However, she is also selfish, quick-tempered and impatient. She will not tolerate failure and will say so. This often gets her in trouble, in which she has to rely on her dynamic ways and quick wit to back peddle out. She energy startles people which she knows, and tries to radiate her confidence in hopes of helping them. All in all, Psyche is basically just confusing. She's a whirl wind of devil may care, sharp words, and adventure, but she tries to slow herself down, for other peoples benefit.

Vessy: a little more would be nice here. Why are people drawn to her? is being daredevil-ish and whirl windy everything? what about the acting? didn't you say she tries to act all the time. Is it like Drama Queen-ish (OH MY DEAR GOD! No CHOCOLATE SPRINKLES! Those rotten spaniard bastards have finally won!) or a more subtle kind. What exactly is "energy startle" *imagines chibi-psyche blowing hyperactive energy blasts at people DBZ style!* *crispy chibi-vessy* *sizzle*

Dissy: ^^;; yes, more…quite a bit more. Try 2-3 sentances for her most prominent characteristics and one for her less prominent. Remember, we want to know your character as well as you do.

History:
Psyche was born on the Fortuna family yacht, the 'Bambola di Missione' or the 'Missio'. Born in Greek waters

Dissy: --;; *sigh* another grecian…

the yacht had strayed from it's normal resting in the Mediterranean. Her father a Greek by birth, was a historian and at the time had been taking time off for his wife. Her mother was an Italian, formerly a librarian until her marriage. Psyche was the first born and the only child of the Fortuna family, and spent most of her life on the Missio.
When Psyche was three the yacht returned to the Mediterranean, so her father could continue his work, and when Psyche was old enough, her mother began to teach her. At the age of seven, Psyche became very interested in her father's work, and would often go with him on his dives. But the girl's true passion lay in acting. With very little entertainment the yacht was a bore for a growing seven year old. So every Friday night she gave a performance for her parents and the crew, becoming quite talented.
Psyche grew up, the star of the Missio, adored by the crew and all those who met her. When Psyche was fifteen she started free diving, and twice came near drowning saved only by her good luck. Forbidden from the sport by her mother, Psyche tried to convince her that it was safe, but to no avail, and to this day Psyche refuses to free dive.
When Psyche was seventeen she finally had decided on a college. She wanted to be an actress. She had applied to numerous colleges, including USR and JCU. In the end she chose JCU and upon learning that her childhood friend Pari was also attending, they agreed on renting an apartment together. Psyche's mother put up a fuss about which apartment's they chose, and when she heard about Copia, she was delighted.
Psyche still lives in the Copia apartment's with Pari, and spends most of her time out on the town with friends, acting, or in cafe's. She's a sohphmore at JCU and is working towards a degree in Theater. She's much more cautious about sneaking out then she used to be, but she has Pari to help. The two were best friends since childhood and Psyche entrusted her secret with Pari.
Psyche's social status as a whole is non-existent to most of the human population, but among her friends and the 'theater group' Psyche is forever popular. Psyche and Pari are usually seen as a pair, almost everywhere but fights. Though Pari often pleads to come with Fortuna, she's always denied.

Vesper: confusing... she lived on a boat until she was 19 or 17? yacht's are small they don't really have a crew, well the crew would be her family (mum & dad), did they get lost on the ocean or something? How can a librarian/teacher marine diver own a yacht/live on a yacht? He's a historian? what does a historian have to do with ocean diving? Well the first part is preeeeety confusing...
What secret? is she preggers or something? What fights? Cock fights (I mean the chicken not the... uh body part)?
Overall confusing could use clarification. and elaboration.
and I'm gonna kinda go "no..." on the Pari secret thing... but see what so-chan says.
Dissy: Actually, it could make for an interesting plot twist if the senshi were always hiding from Psuche and Pari, should pari ignor her friend’s warnings and tag along to battles anyway. I say go with it, it could be cool ^^;;
Besides that I think Vessy covered all my comments.

NPC's:
Paradoss 'Pari' Silenzio: Psyche's room mate and a Sophomore at JCU majoring in English Literature. Pari is the daughter of one of Parlo's old friends. The two were best friends as children and when they found they attended the same college they rented an apartment together. Pari is the only one who knows Psyche's alias.

Dissy: I’d like more on the NPC’s, like what they look like, what they wear and what their relationship with the main character is like.

Dillio 'Lio' di Vita - The landlady's rather dashing son, and a Junior at USR. A humorous,happy-go lucky guy, Lio strives to live life to it's fullest, except for his strict mother. He and Psyche are constantly flirting, though they think of eachother more as brother and sister.

Dissy: Clothes, looks, relationships.

Stretta Solat di Vita - The owner of Copia Apartment's. A strict old woman of say 60 years, who guards her younger tenants like an aunt edna. She relies heavily on her son, but restricts him and most of those who rent her rooms to fit around her own life. Her apartments are run on strict rules, and when broken she is one mean old lady. She is lovingly known as 'Signora Stret'.

Dissy: Clothes, looks, relationships.

Tempi Trovati Ancora Con Fortuna - Psyche's father, a Greek historian, who always managed to engage his daughter in his work. A quiet and reserved man Tempi was concerned only in his business and family. He currently lives on the Fortuna yacht in the Mediterranean.

Dissy: Clothes, looks, relationships.

Parola 'Parlo' Scritta Per Sempre Tenuto Dalla Fortuna - Psyche's mother, an Italian librarian once upon a time. The sort of mother who knew when to draw the line but usually had a chocolate chip cookie in store. She now resides on the family yacht with Psyche's father, floating on the Mediterranean.

Vesper: People are good! Good back ground. LONG names. I mean serious Bitca's of names!
Dissy: Clothes, looks, relationships.

Special Skills: Psyche has incredible good luck, and radiates this to those around her, always protected by a sort of invisible shield of fortune. She also has a strange sense of empathy, it isn't defined, targeted, or strong, but at random times she can sort of tell how the people around her are feeling.

Vesper: Well... goodluck isn't REALLY a special skill. I would have preffered to have it worked into the personality a bit more. Y'know sort of good fortune seems to follow her or something. What's the definition of goodluck? finding pennies? narrowly missing horrible accidents? getting nominated for an oscar for a play you didn't even act in.

Dissy: I’d say it works for a special skill personally, but I think Vessy is right about having it worked in with the character a bit more. Like how Larae is a total clutz and there’s an aura around her of sheer chaos, which only gets worse when she becomes a senshi. There are so many things you could do with the special skill and I’d like to see more of that. The Empathy bit, now there’s something I’d have to say no to, as I don’t think Empathy and Good Fortune really walk hand in hand…you might take that out.

Henshin Item:
Psyche's henshin item is a fist sized amber encased in silver. Her symbol is embedded in the gem in silver, and the jewel is usually worn on a silver bracelet, almost looking like a watch.

Transformation: 'Fortuna Deus Power, Make-up!'
Psyche holds her hand over her wrist the gem detaching from it's silver bracelet and lifting to her hand. Levitating between her palms the jewel beings to spin slowly, light radiating from it. Calling 'make-up' the jewel stops, bursting with a flash of orange light that surrounds Psyche. She is sent into a transparent form as the light once again centers. Psyche herself begins to turn, holding the sphere of light above her head. In the background, muted by the sound of a spinning wheel we can almost make out 'Luck Be A Lady Tonight' (Had to add that). There's another flash of light, this time more intense, and the sphere disappears. As the light dissipates, we see Sailor Fortuna her hands still held above her head, touching at the wrists. She stands, her head bowed, eyes closed, and ankles crossed. As she becomes more defined, she lifts her head, her eyes flashing open.

Color: Spice Orange

Symbol: Sauvastika, the symbol of great luck

Vesper: actually it's the Falun Law Wheel. Swastica's go the other way hun.
Dissy: *baps* Dun be condescending, even if you are right…

Fuku:
As afore mentioned Fortuna likes to stand out in a crowd, and even when henshined she does so. Glowing on her forehead, bold as brass in spice orange sits her symbol, set off by her hair. Hanging from her dark orange choker is a silver charm shaped like her symbol. Her collar is devoid of decoration except for it's flashy color, standing out against the silver of her shoulder plate and breast plate, which are held fast by her jewel. Her bodice is white, cut under the bust line to expose her mid-riff, which usually has a amber stud set in her naval. The straight belt of her skirt is her primary color, matching the short pleated skirt. The leather straps that hang down the skirt with each pleat are brown, and her leather arm bands are also brown, reaching from her wrist to mid-forearm. Her boots are brown and reach just above the ankle, gaining her a half inch in height and laced with dark orange string.

Vesper: I like the fuku! isopreety!

Powers: 'Fortune's Wheel the Table Turns'
The sound of the spinning wheel we can hear in her henshin begins again as she calls her attack phrase. She holds her hand out almost as if she was going to shake someone's hand. A small spinning nucleus of dark orange energy forms next to the palm of her hand, growing in size. She tosses this disc above her head, the disc still growing. She holds her hand up, catching it on it's downward descent, and in one deft motion, draws it back and let's it fly.
When reaching the target the disc will explode in a rather garish attack. The discs are not quite powerful, and are easy to dodge. Fortuna has trouble controlling the pure energy discs and can often miss her target, that's why she tries to play frisbee a lot.

Vesper: not quite powerful? or not very powerful. Frisbee? does she throw it like a discus? frisbee? softball? basketball?
But good on you! you didn't use "Wheel of morality turn turn turn! Show us the lesson that we shall learn!" *claps* I'm proud of you!
Dissy: Yes, all good and shtuff that you didn’t use the wheel of morality bit, but this attack isn’t really a fortune based attack, more of a bomb exploding in your face based attack. Maybe her attack could be to give her teammates and herself uncanny amounts of good fortune, thusly helping THEM to defeat the enemy. OR, she could have an attack, which makes her enemy lose all his/her good luck, making it so people with go-boom attacks can kill them off. There’s really no way to make a good fortune power base have a go-boom side unless for some odd unacceptable reason the loss of good fortune killed them.

Weapon: None

Guardian: None

Why Me: I'm not the best role player there ever was, and I don't claim to be. In my own opinion, I think I rp well and I certainly try. I put my heart and soul into all my characters and every one of them has a bit of me in them. I'm not a very haughty person so I shall leave it at this.

Miscellaneous:
I think Rome need's the 'Central Perk' of Friends, sorry, I can't think of any other analogy. So I propose Rome's smallest, and best cafe 'Cielo et Sette' or 'Heaven at Seven'. A small little nook on some quiet street, not to fancy with the old style fashion of the twenties. From the waitress that calls you 'hun' to the old man who is always there, always. From the minute you walk in the door you can smell the fresh coffee, and for those who are hungry, scones, turnovers, and other delicaces await. Small black legged tables dot the yellow rock floor. The table clothes are white, each table checkered with a different shade of the spectrum. The chairs of the room are of black wood, and the black footed stools are covered with rough black cloth. The bar is black, and perhaps not spotless but kept clean. Along the bar, sit numerous strainless steel trays and cases, displaying mouth-watering treats, and in little silver racks are held the worn menus and condiments. The walls are of yellowed rock, small windows carved here and there to allow light. Black clothed booths rest near each of the windows, lining the walls. At each table sits a small yellow candle, chipped with green herbs. And finally the clock, one of those classic cat clocks with the swaying tail and darting eyes, it is kept forever at 7 am, so bring a watch.

Vesper: *hides in corner* Oh dear god now were gonna have the coffee wars! *edges into a corner safely away from both Libri di Tabernus and Cielo et Sette*
*is scared*
Dissy: Gomen, but Ki-chan’s right. You get extra points for creating us a café, but as we already have a café in Libri Di Tabernus, the book shop Larae’s mother owns, it make little sense to me to have a second one. Now, Psyche COULD get her coffee from Libri Di Tabernus, and then you could make us the central park of friends…without the reference to the sit-com of course. After all, you did just say we should have it, and I don’t watch friends…I’m not sure if Vessy does…o0;;

Writing Sample:

"Psy come on, I need java, let's go!" Stepping from the bathroom, Psyche shoved the last bobby pin into her bun.
"Alright, alright, geez Pari, you'd think you were the one with the coffee addiction." Psyche grinned impishly, grabbing her coat as Pari rolled her eyes. Pulling her leather jacket on, she nearly screamed as Pari shoved her out the door, literally. Psyche shut her eyes, waiting to hit the far wall, only to find herself, falling against something, or rather, someone. Glancing up, she smiled at the sight of Lio's rogueish grin.
"We've got to stop meeting this way." Psyche chuckled, regaining her balance and brushing off her jacket.
"Yes, I'm sure your mumsy will have something to say about it, if we don't."
"Yes well mumsy can kiss my...nevermind. So where are you two lovely ladies off to?" Locking their room door, Pari looked up.
"Cielo...you wanna come?"
"Nah, I've got appliences to fix. See ya later."
Pulling Psyche away in the other direction Pari shook her head.
"Really, you two, both of you need serious help, but you especially."
"I know, but hey, no one can claim I'm boring right?" Psyche chuckled as Pari rolled her eyes again.

"Double latte for you, and the norm for our Psycie?" Psyche chuckled, nodding.
"Thanks Feli." As the waitress walked off, Psyche looked across the table to Pari.
"So, spring break, the Missio?"
"No way am I spending my spring break, cooped up on a boat, being polite around your family. The Missio's great Psyche, but I want life." Psyche nodded in agreement.
"We could always go to Athens...hey what about Venice?"
"Or we could just stay here...there are parties every night, and besides do you really want to miss Winnie's big bash?" Psyche chuckled at the mention of their friend Winifred.
"I certainly don't want to miss that."

"Okay, movie...1 word...circle...crown....halo! Halo! Angel!...."
"....It's a Wonderful Life?...The Saint!!!" Psyche fell off the stage laughing, at Pari.
"It's a wonderful life? That isn't one word..."
"Well it's got an angel in it, and knowing you it could have been." Taking her seat in the 'audience' Psyche smiled as another one of the stage patrons went up, making motions to his team. Saturday's in the theater were the best, games all day and parties all night. Leaning over she whispered to Pari, noticing the other girl's dreamy stare.
"Those dark blue eyes...that soft blonde hair...those tight abs."
"Shut up!" Psyche giggled at Pari's blush.
"You've got it so bad for him it's sad."
"Hey, like you and Lio are any better."
"Yeah we are. I don't like Lio like that."
"Yeah...right. You're almost always in the guys arms."
"More than half the time you push me."
"I do not!"
"Do too."
"Do not!"
"Shut up!!" Glancing up in unison both girls grinned sheepishly realizing they were getting a bit loud again.
"Have I missed something again?" Both girls jumpped, from their seats with an 'eep' of surprise, once again in unison. Psyche whirled around to see Lio grinning at them hugely, leaning over their seats.
"Sorry."
"Yeah, sure you are."
"I am." Returning to her seat Pari, cast another longing glance at the guy on stage, answering for Psyche.
"Uh huh, right, I'll believe that when the moon turns fuchia."
"When the moon turns fuchia?" Leaning back Psyche looked up at Lio.
"She's a bit distracted right now...you'll have to excuse her." Lio nodded in understanding, looking at the stage.
"Handsome devil..." Pari nodded dreamily.
"Yeah..."
"I meant me."
"Oh..." Psyche shook her head.
"She's hopeless."

Vesper: Good writing sample. :)

-----

Overall: !

Vesper: Over all I like it alot! Good character. Vairly strong personality and excellent writing sample.

Overall me likes.

But:

1. I don't like the friend knowing.

2. Personality could use a bit of beefing up

3. History is more than a bit confusing

4. It's a Falun Law Wheel (sorry that's bugging me)

5. Her name is REALLY REALLY long. even for an italian but it's neat and quirky. Dun change it.

6. her attack isn't really fortune based... it's more orange disc blow stuff up now you go boom based,

7. lastly and rather important I'd like the goodfortune "skill" worked into her personality more

Revise or die!!

Dissy: The app needs some work, and though I’m eager to see what you come up with to fix it, I think there are just a few too many problems for me to be as praiseful as Vessy up there is. Besides that, just read the notes we left you and fix that up. If you do that and send it in again, you might just get an acceptance next time.

Dissy’s Verdict: Reject, Revise

Final Verdict: Reject, Revise
