A Message From David Rutland

I was born on May 21, 1957 in the city of Tacoma, Washington. I moved with my family at a young age to Alaska where I spent my adolescence and early adulthood. I currently live happily in Columbus, Ohio. I have been married twice and have three children, two daughters and a son.

Panphilosism is the result of my lifetime of spiritual seeking. I have practiced and studied various spiritual paths, including Christianity, Buddhism and the occult. My enthusiasm for these spiritual pursuits has caused some measure of confusion as I have changed my direction often enough to make some close to me give up on trying to describe what I believe. What they did not see, and I myself did not realize, was that all these belief systems were necessarily influencing the development of what is currently Panphilosism.

The true birth of Panphilosism occurred on December 7th, 2003 when I had my personal paradigm shift. It was an epiphany which revealed to me the true nature of my life and opened my eyes to a larger reality. It was a turning point and a natural step in my evolution. I have peace, balance and purpose where I used to have frustration, confusion and aimless wandering. Panphilosism is a name for something that needs no name. It reintroduces you to something you already have, but have forgotten. It is a return to the wonder of childhood with the wisdom of age. It is the union of mystic and scientist, both celebrating the joy and unique opportunity that being an awakened human bring.
