Inside the town you will find the house of the world wide known gynaecologist Papanikolaou, who discovered PAP test that has saved the lives of million women up to date. Inside town you can visit a very interesting folkloric museum.

A small forest road will drive you to the Kimi port which used to be a pirate base of operations. Along the port main road there are many tavernas that serve "kalamarohtapoda" that is a type of big squid tasting like octopus. The port connects to Skiros island via ferry boat departing twice daily. Skiros is a well known summer resort.

Those who like fishing and diving, can use one of the many rocky beaches to fish. The mountains around Hotel are a reach biotope used by hunters during the hunting season.
