I have my first calculus test tomorrow and I conveniently managed to get sick today. It's not even that bad but you know that fuzzy, thick feeling your head gets when you're kinda congested? Well it's certainly not gonna work to my advantage tomorrow...Anyway it's aaaaaall good cause I think I'm actually getting this stuff that we've been doing now...the sad part is it's still just functions, we haven't even actually STARTED calculus. But then, my mark's GOT to improve because so far it's based entirely on one quiz which we got back a couple of days ago...I got all excited because as I was picking up my paper I saw a "9.5"...my expression went from "oh MY god..." to "oh my GOD" in a matter of two seconds when I then realized that it was out of 20, not 10. *sigh* Yes, I AM encouraged by the fact that things can (HOPEFULLY) only go up from here. (I'll let y'all know how it goes...)

Alright not much time to write this cause I'm in the middle of another one of those crazy-busy weeks...I had a law project due today, a Drama text analysis due tomorrow (and *ahem* we don't have the actual text yet...), a calc test on Wednesday, and a law test on Thursday. If anyone puts a test or an assignment due on Friday I'm gonna lose it.
Meanwhile the semi-formal on Friday was an absolute B-L-A-S-T (boom :D) The DJ actually played Nirvana!!! Heh heh heh...it was a good mix of music, I hope FLOW isn't doing our prom cause they sucked at the dance in October compared to these guys. I've come to the conclusion that pretty much all the guys at A.Y. who are even remotely desireable are really the biggest losers...I can't understand why they would all want to drink themselves stupid and make idiots of themselves all night BY CHOICE...meh screw them we had an awesome time. Let's do it again :D (I've got prom fever now...)
Quite a laugh-ful day today...found two absolutely HILARIOUS websites: a Muppets page with things like a Muppet translator and Muppet e-mails (I was on the floor laughing for like twenty minutes!!) and, from Carly,an Anti-Bananas page - I always knew I wasn't alone!! Hope you enjoy these even HALF as much as I did (my stomach hurts :D )

It's kinda strange because this past week has been so busy...I have a ton of stuff to do, projects and tests to study for, and spirit week to prepare for (yes, it takes preparation to look good enough to be auctioned off for $17 :P ) And yet...I just don't seem to be getting anything done. I don't know why but recently it's been as though I'm trying to run in a pool - you should be fast but you're really not. And even more strangely, that doesn't bother me. I think to myself..."yeah. I've got a lot to do. How about that..." I've got this inexplicable feeling that it'll all just fall into place, so why worry. For example, semi is in two days and I don't have anything to wear. Well, I have back-up plans...but I feel like it should be a bigger deal than what I'm making of it. My whole state of mind right now is "oh well. whatever. nevermind." LOL - I don't even know how to finish this entry. :D
February 17th 2003
I started writing this on Friday but then I didn't get a chance to finish it...so here it is, my V-Day message, if a couple of days late...
Alright I'm SICK of everyone complaining about what a bunch of shit Valentine's Day is...of course if you buy into the whole Hallmark propaganda junk then it'll suck. But we all, to a certain extent, take all those special people in our lives for granted and why not have a day to remind us to tell them we love them...
So here goes:
Damn it, I hate rushing this cause I'm sure there's gonna be someone I should have mentioned but didn't...if I did in fact miss you then...look at it this way: you're so special to me that words simply aren't enough. (still upset? How about if I bribe you with cookies? :P )
February 13th 2003
I didn't even realize this until just now, but today it's been exactly one year since I left for France. I remember every minute of that day...it felt like a dream, I just couldn't quite grasp that I was leaving for three whole months. And things have changed so much since then, I feel almost like a new person compared to the way things were then. Not that things were anything less than fantastic last year, in fact I think grade 11's been my favorite year of high school so far...this year's been alright, but a little slow. (In that I haven't been jetting off to the Riviera recently...:P )
Good news though, ENIGMA'S COMING OUT TOMORROW!! Right on schedule, for the first time EVER! So that means Enigma's coming out, IFLURTZ are on sale again (lol those things are hilarious, you fill out a survey and they pair you up with your best matches at school), it's *Valentine's Day*, my mom and I are gonna have a pyjama party cause my dad's outta town on business - we're so fully renting "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" :D And then it's the weekend which is building up to look pretty good so far, and my sister's coming home for reading week too. Everything's coming up roses :) (or should I say daffodils...)

Kinda serious stuff first, if you'll bear with me. I was looking thru various deodorants at Shoppers the other day and I noticed a little blurb somewhere on the front label that tells you the percentage of aluminum zirconium tetrachlorohydrex glycine in the product...as a FORMER Dove anti-perspirant user, I was absolutely shocked to find the number at 25%, whereas the others ranged from around 20% to 23%. The lower, the better...girls, this is ESPECIALLY important because the aluminum content has been linked to a higher risk of developing breast cancer, and also Alzheimers disease. A couple of percent might not seem like a big thing...but in the long run (considering that you - hopefully - use it every day) it makes a big difference and it's for your own good. And yes I know...*giggle giggle ha ha*, Ms. Stuart Jr.'s giving more advice again...phooey, I thought it was important so I'm sharing it with all of you *special people* who check this site. (I love that I have an outlet for all this useful info)
Other news: remember (for those of you who have been Pandywaff supporters from the beginning :P ) in August I told you about gallavanting around Toronto with a bunch of underpriviledged kids in a sort of "summer camp" organized by *yours truly* and a few good friends? Well we're doing it again, this time for three days over March Break - we're not organizing it this time, thank goodness...the fundraising we had to do the last time was exhausting (lol) But I'm definitely looking forward it...I get to romp in the ROM :D OH, I mean...I'm doing it for the kids, all for the kids... ;)

(Okay try reading the following with an English accent. I had Niles from Frasier in mind while writing it so hopefully that'll explain the hoity-toity tone ;) )
I suppose the subject line is rather self-explanatory...a few days ago I did a search on Google, typing in "Pandywaff" with the hopes of finding out what it really means - it seems to be some kind of Scottish porridge, in reality...frankly I prefer my definition... - and I was rudely surprised to find that this magnificent website wasn't listed! Hmph. Noticing a link at the bottom of the page asking, "dissatisfied with your search results?" I clicked immediately and gave them a right dressing-down. And now, just a few days later, I checked again and - voil - it's listed! *Hurray*

Wow...I'm still thinking about lunch today...all I can say is if we're ever together and we've got a couple of minutes, let me ask you the "forest questions"...they're amazing, you wouldn't think your answers mean anything until you understand the significance and then it all makes an incredible amount of sense. That probably didn't make any sense though...see what I'm talking about is a set of questions, of situations you have to picture in your mind and based on what you see, so many things you might not realize about yourself are revealed. It sounds cheesy but it's not - the significance of the things I saw were completely - and sometimes even frighteningly - true...and it's worked for everyone who's done it so far. I suppose it's the kind of thing you have to DO to understand - it won't make sense if I just try to tell you what it is without you experiencing it. Really though...if ever you get the chance...it's well-worth the few minutes it takes. I realized so much about myself...things that maybe I kinda already knew but wasn't admitting to myself...

*sigh* we got our calculus textbooks today...it's really starting...
As something of a distraction from reality, I decided to do this questionaire thing. Some of them can be retarded but this one was kinda fun to fill out. Enjoy! :)

Semester 2 started, unofficially, on Friday and I'm so filled with anticipation that it could become a bit of a problem. It already looks like it's gonna be awesome, which could lead to some disappointment if it doesn't follow thru...but how could it NOT? I've got enjoyable classes - law, French, calc (well...we'll see about this one, anyway) and drama (with probably the best class I've ever had!) - and then there's spirit week and learning to drive and PROM and the last exams I'm gonna have to write for a year and a half and the prospect of a kickass summer, and Laure's visit in August...wait that's a little too far, we're talking about second semester only. STILL...things are gonna change, I can feel it. (cause I'm a driver, I'm a winner...LOL forget it)
calc is already frying my brain and it hasn't even really BEGUN...
Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem :P
