For Andy drew

It was just another day
Living as white trash in the trailer park
One kid outside another on the way
She's never made so many mistakes before
Her husband has no patience anymore
She's not his only one
No job no money no car
Life just wasn't fun for her
Another fight was storming up in the kitchen
Little boy comes in to play- he just wanted some affection
Daddy slammed the door in his own sons face
They had been there many times before

The knife seemed like it held a better life than what she was living. Never touched nor dreamed of something so appealing. The sharp rigid teeth would grasp her wrist and take her away to a land that existed in a better way. As a child, never thought one day she could take the life of her and something so unfinished.
Don't die on your self
You never Cried for your self

She sat in the floor draining her eyes out
Her son walked in
only to see her with a knife out
One deep thrust and all would be over
The little angel stepped up
and took the blade from his mother's hand
and said
Don't die on yourself
You never cried for yourself

The two only had the hopes of a child of light and beauty to come and take them to another land. Whispering I knew you never wanted me to die. I'm just glad that little boy was there and made you try.

Little boy I owe my life to you
I grew up wanting to be just like you
So strong and tried so hard
Just so I could live my life
Like you never did
In your eyes I'm not just another kid
There for you
Just like you were there for me
