In middle school I hung out with my friends Eva, Camille, and Anya. Eva and I spent our lunches and P.E. periods making up songs *Roadkill* and nicknames for each other. She somehow decided that I look like a panda. Pretty soon everyone was calling my panda or pretty panda or pokey panda (my name in P.E.....but not anymore!!!!!!). Eva was finally named Monkey (mucus monkey =) )
Well, the name has stuck. As for "pokey" panda...that leads me to the next thing. All my life I've been a slow poke in P.E. I've never been choosen 1st for the soccer team or baseball team...most of the time I was picked last. But now I have my revenge!! I'm on the team captain of the Junior varsity Water Polo team. Also...I'm on Varsity swim team this year...even though last year I had a better tryout time for my 100 free. Oh well, a letter is a letter...which will look awfully nice on my letterman jacket ;).
The other thing that is really important to me is music. I play the french horn in my school's wind ensemble (the highest band). In 8th grade I won my school's essay contest and got to conduct the UCLA wind ensemble at Schoenburg Hall in Stars and Stripes Forever by John Phillip Sousa. Ever since then I've had a deep passion for music. I want to be a conductor, soloist, or orchestra manager. I just finished Music 2 at SMC and let me tell you ��Music Theory ROCKS! (no pun intended) but seriously, music theory is really fun. When my mom first made me take theory I was totally against it. But now I really love it. Hmm...I wonder if you can be a music theoretician. that would be cool.
Out of everything, though, my friends are the ones that help me through the day. These people are very special to me..and I love them all :;you guys know who you are...I'd put your names down, but I don't know how many of you actually care if I do or not...so I'll be safe and just not:: Then there's my friends who don't go to my school...but are my bestest friends who I love soooo much!! Melody, Kristen, and Kimberly!! Also, I have another very special person, who recently (well, not really recently) entered my life...and his name's Pierre! My wonderful boyfriend. = )
