*Making and Using Blocks*
WHAT YOU NEED:
a flat piece of wood (about 10cm by 10cm)
glue
decoration-string, pasta, buttons, coins, peas, etc.
thick paint
piece of glass
roller or plastic children's rolling pin
paper
step one: glue your shapes on to the block in a pleasing pattern. you may want to make
geometric patterns, swirls
or random patterns.
step two: leave the glue to dry.
step three: pour some thick paint on the glass and roll it out with the roller or rolling pin. be very careful
when handling the glass, as the edges will be very sharp.
step four: when the paint is evenly spread on the roller, roll it on to the block so that the bits which stand out are
covered in paint.
step five: lay the paper on the table and place the block, paint-side down, on to it. press firmly.
step six: lift the block and an image will appear.
step seven: repeat steps three to six all over the paper.
