| Leslie looked up to see her sister and smiled smugly. "Don't you know how to knock?" Leila rolled her eyes and handed her the drink. "Whatever, Leslie." Leslie smiled and took a drink. "What the hell?! It's cold!" Leila sighed. "Well, what am I supposed to do about it? I'm not your slave." Leslie groaned and set the drink down, but then turned to her sister. "Have you seen those guys yet?" Leila nodded. "Why?" Leslie shrugged. "Any of 'em hot?" Leila groaned. "Leslie you're here to make the movie, not flirt with the music group." Leslie pouted. "C'mon, little sister tell me!" Leila sat up. "No. They're not." Leslie sighed and brushed a strand of hair out of her face. "Well, that sucks." Both girls looked up as they heard a knock at the door. Leslie looked at her sister. "Well, answer it." Leila yawned. "No, that's quite alright. It's your trailer." Leslie stuck out her tongue and answered it. "Yes?" A nervous woman, looked up at her from her clipboard. "Um, Miss Morgan David wishes you to come out, and, um, let's see you need to finish this one scene and then meet the boys, and then call it a night." Leslie smiled fakely. "Sure thing Anna." She turned back to Leila. "Well. Aren't you coming?" Leila groaned and got up, before smiling warmly. "Hey Anna." Anna smiled. "Hello, Miss Leila." Leslie rolled her eyes. "Let's go, people, we don't have all day." Leila smiled and gave the older woman a small hug, before following her sister. David stopped talking to Johnny and the guys before looking over to see Leslie and Leila making their way over. He frowned as he saw Leslie's co-star Grant Taylor step in front of Leila. He knew of Grant's attraction to Leila and he didn't like it one bit. Leila was like a daughter to him, and he didn't trust Grant one bit. He forced a smile as he saw Leslie flaunt her way over. "Well, hello David. I am so incredibly sorry to keep you waiting, but you see, Leila decided to take her sweet little time bringing me back my drink, and you know I can't get into the acting groove without my coffee." David cleared his throat and nodded. "It's quite alright, Leslie. I'd like you to meet Johnny Wright. He's the manager of Nsync." She smiled and shook his hand. "It's so nice to meet you Mr. Wright." David rolled his eyes in disgust as he watched Leslie put on her sweet as sugar act. "And these are the guys, Joey, Chris, JC, Lance, and Justin." She flashed a smile. "It's very nice to meet all of you." Leila sighed. "Grant. Now what?" He shrugged. "Just wanted to know if you wanted to go out with me later on." She sighed. "You know I don't." He shook his head. "I don't get you Leila. One of Hollywood's most winning actors is asking you out, and you're refusing, whereas most girls would die to be in your place." Leila closed her eyes, remembering how her mother had said the very same thing the day before. Her eyes flew open and she glared at him, not noticing she was now shouting. "WELL, I'M NOT MOST GIRLS! Why does everyone always say that?!" She pushed past him, angrily, and he watched her leave. David cleared his throat. "And, um, you've already met Leila." The young girl, brushed away a strand of brown hair and sighed. "I'm sorry about that. David, could I use your phone?" He smiled. "Sorry, hun, I don't have it on me." JC pulled his out and handed it to her. "Here, you can use mine." She smiled, gratefully, and stepped away from the others to have her privacy. Leslie watched her sister, and shook her head. "You'll have to excuse her. She has some issues she needs to work out. But as I said, it was nice meeting you all, and I believe we'll see you tomorrow? I'm sorry to just rush like this, but I think we have one more scene to shoot, before we can all go home for a good night's rest." "Actually, we were wondering, if you wanted to come out with us, later on." Justin said, surprised he'd even had the nerve to speak up. Leslie looked at him, before smiling. "Justin, right? Well, that's very sweet of you to ask, but I really don't think that's a good idea. But thanks anyways." She smiled and walked off. JC laughed. "Well, hey, she remembered your name, at least." "Dad? Is that you?" "Leila?" She sighed. "Yeah, dad, it's me. Look, I was just wondering if it was possible if I could come visit any sooner. Like, say tomorrow?" He laughed. "Lei, you know that's just not possible." She sighed and closed her eyes. "I know." "Is everything alright?" her father, asked concerned. She sighed. "No, dad, it's not. I'm sick of being everyone's scapegoat. Mom always expects ME to do everything for Leslie, when Leslie's got her own people to do it for her, and Leslie, well, it's Leslie, so you know how she treats me." She heard her dad sigh at the other end. "Hang in there, kiddo. You'll be here with me, before you know it, ok? I've got to get going, but I promise I'll call you back later on, tonight, ok?" Leila nodded, fighting back tears. "Ok. Love you, bye." She hung up the phone and quickly took a deep breath to compose herself, before walking back to the others. "Here you go. Thank you." JC shrugged. "No problem." She smiled at the others and David. "I'm going to see if I can't head home, now." David frowned. "Actually, Leila, your mom told me that it'd be another couple of hours, until your sister got through." Leila rubbed her temples, unhappily. "Right. I'll see you later." She turned to walk away, but Isabelle's voice stopped her. "Leila! Wait." She stopped and turned around to face the older woman. "Do you want to come with us? I mean, you've got to be hungry by now, and we were thinking of heading out to a club, and it'd be fun, if you came with." Leila watched as JC stepped up next to Isabelle. "Yeah, we'd like it if you came." Leila shrugged. "I guess I could. It's not like I have anything to do here, anyways." Isabelle smiled. "Great! Let's go!" She grabbed the younger girl's hand and pulled her over to the others. "Alright! We're ready to go. Leila's gonna come with us." David smiled. "I'll let Lise know where you ran off to. Have some fun, k?" Leila smiled. "Good luck, David." He groaned. "I'll need it." She grinned and followed Isabelle to the car. Joey chuckled. "Well, well, Justin, isn't that just your luck? Instead of Leslie coming with us, we get her sister. Talk about ironic." Justin grumbled something, before getting into the car. Five |
