| "Forever more!" Jessica held out the last note of the song perfectly, making the thousands of fans in Madison Square Garden go wild. Smiling brightly, her emerald eyes shining with happiness, she shouted, "Thank you New York and enjoy the rest of the concert!" She jogged off of the stage and gratefully snatched a water bottle off of the table. Jessica Hartford, one of the quickest growing popstars today. Her tan, slender form posed on album covers. Her perfect face with long brown hair and enchanting emerald green eyes graced and magazines across the country. Jessica was more than a pretty face though. She actually had some sense in her.Intelligence and wit were high in her and it showed. That's part of the reason she scored one of the opening spots in the NSYNC tour. "I'm going to go change so that I can see their performance," she told security. After she was cleaned off and in some much more comfortable clothes, she sighed in content and made her way to the guys' dressing room. She knocked on the door and turned her back to watch the crews work. The door behind her quietly opened. Strong arms wrapped around her waist and pulled her inside before slamming the door shut. "About time you came," mumbled JC before he softly kissed her. "I was getting lonely." "Well, I had a few things to do like perform," she replied, returning the kiss. Jessica had met JC when she was just starting to perform. She had an immediate attraction to him and it was mutual. Their relationship soon escalated until they had been together for four years. Both were ecstatic when she was signed to Jive. Even without JC's help she easily became a major recording artist. "So are you all ready?" she asked taking notice of his costume for 'No Strings Attached'. "As ready as I'll ever be," he answered. "But a little more reassurance could be in order," he smirked as he pulled her closer to him for a heated kiss. "Youneedtoget onstage," she put in between his kisses. "Why?" he asked, his lips trailing down the column of her neck. "Because you have paying fans out there!" she laughed as she pushed him away. "Okay, okay," he replied smiling. "But can you do me a favor tonight?" "Sure what?" "Just stay backstage and do what John tells you too." She looked at him with confusion and noted how he was trying to withhold his grin. "Okay. Is there a certain reason why?" "Maybe." Dodging questions wasn't working for her as curiosity filled her mind. "Jace, won't you just tell me?" "Nope. I have to get ready so just do what John says." She nodded and got comfortable in an out of the way area backstage. She smiled as he and the others were raised. He smiled and waved at her before he hung lifeless. The concert went well. The guys were doing great. About midway through the program, about when 'This I Promise You' came on, John walked up to Jessica and said, "Follow me." She followed him up to the tip of the stage behind the curtain. She could hear the guys speaking their dialogue. "Wait a sec, JC," said Lance. "We're all moved up and everything, we can't get any closer. But why is there a stool here?" "That a surprise for someone." John shoved Jessica onto the stage. She stood awkwardly until JC motioned her over. "That surprise is for Jessica." She shot him several questioning looks, but he only smiled. Never in four years had he done anything like this. He had her sit on the stool as the stage began on its journey down the aisle. Justin sang his verse, followed by JC singing his verses. During the musical interlude, the music softened and JC spoke. "This probably seems odd to many people, but to me this is perfect. Jessica, I love you with all my heart and have enjoyed every second of our last four years together. But tonight, I have only one wish, one desire, and one question." He leaned down to one of the bodyguards and they handed him a black box. JC got down on one knee and opened the box. "Will you marry me?" Jessica was speechless. The diamond ring was beautiful, but the man in front of her was even more so. "Yes," she whispered happily. JC jumped up and kissed her, the thousands of fans cheering for the newly engaged couple. "I love you JC," she said, smiling as the stage retreated. "I love you Jess. You are my music, my heart, and my soul." She smiled with tears in her eyes and they softly kissed, oblivious to those around them. The End! Home |
