Searching
~* Lately I've been trying
To fill up my days since you're gone
The speed of love is blinding
And I didn't know how to hold on
My mind won't clear
I'm out of tears
My heart's got no room left inside*~

He stared blankly out the window of the bus, watching the monotonous scenery whiz by. He couldnt help but notice how the dreary weather seemed to fit along perfectly with his mood. It seemed like the whole world had suddenly turned its back on him, when he had least expected it. Things werent supposed to be like this. He was supposed to be happy. He had the career that most would die for, friends that were often hard to find, a family that loved him, and up until recently the love of his life.

Or so he had thought. It wasnt every day that you found the one that God placed on this earth meant solitarily for you. In fact, it was quite rare. It had ended so abruptly. So unexpectedly. Amazing how quickly it can all be taken away from you. Not a day went by where he didnt think about her Her laugh, her smile, her light curly brown hair that he loved to absently stroke as she snuggled deep into his arms, and most of all her eyes. Her eyes that used to sparkle with happiness whenever she was with him. He sighed as he felt a hand on his shoulder and looked up at his friend.

~*How many dreams will end
How long can I pretend
How many times will love pass me by
Until I find you again*~

Hey, Justin, are you ok, man? The sulking young man looked up, eyes holding no emotion, whatsoever. Im fine, JC. Are we almost there? JC shrugged his shoulders. Im not sure Youre thinking about her again, arent you? Justins shoulders noticeably slumped in guilt. Yeah JC nodded, understandably. Hey, its nothing to be ashamed about. You miss her I know exactly what youre going through. It just takes some time is all. Maybe someday, someone will come along and finally heal that broken heart of yours.

Justin looked back out the window, not really wanting to discuss this anymore. That was JC alright. Always had some kind of words of wisdom to offer. And what he usually said was very true.

~*Well the arms of hope surround me
Will time be a fair weather friend
Should I call out to angels
Or just drink myself sober again
Can't hide what's true
I still burn for you
Your memory just won't let me go*~

He slung his bag over his shoulder and adjusted his sunglasses before walking off down the stairs of the bus, screams of girls echoing in his ears. He thought his head was going to explode at that very minute. He had to get out of here. Before he went insane. The memory of Lauren, still fresh on his mind, plus this? No way. He sighed, as he struggled through the mobs of fans, simply trying to get inside the arena, when he saw her. She was faced the opposite direction, but he knew her anywhere.

Trillions of thoughts ran through his head at once. Why is she here? Does she want me back?  Is this real? He stopped walking suddenly, which was a big no-no in situations like this. JC grabbed his arm. Hey, are you trying to start a riot? Get moving! Justin shook his head, numbly. C, its her. I-I have to JC sighed, still moving him along. Its too dangerous to stop here. Well warn security to let her in. You can describe her to them and itll all work out.

Justin shook his head, fearfully. No man. What if she doesnt try to come? What if I never see her again? I cant do that, dont you understand? JC sighed. Those fans will rip you apart, you understand that? Justin shrugged. I dont care. He pulled out of JCs grasp and began to make his way back to where he had seen her.

Things children do for love. JC looked over and saw his girlfriend standing there. Hes gonna get himself hurt. She nodded. He knows that. And he doesnt care. Wouldnt you have done the same? He sighed. Probably. I just hope he knows what hes doing. She smiled. Oh I think he does.

~*How many dreams will end
How long can I pretend
How many times will love pass me by
Until I find you again

I'd hold you tighter
Closer than ever before
Yeah
No flame would burn brighter
If I could touch you once more
Hold you once more*~

He struggled trying to get back to where she was, when he stumbled nearly losing his balance, if it hadnt been for the one who reached out and pulled on his arm to steady him. He sighed, exasperated. Thanks. She smiled. Sure thing hot stuff. He looked up surprised and saw her standing there, smiling. Lau Lauren? She nodded. Yes, its me. Surprise, eh? He shook his head. Surprise doesnt even begin to describe how Im feeling. She looked down. We need to talk. Mind if we go on inside before these girls rip my head off?

He chuckled and took hold of her hand and pulled her toward the entrance. As soon as they both got inside safe, he pulled her into his arms, trying to block out the pain and hurt that had once replaced her love and happiness. She sighed. Justin Im sorry. Really. I I got scared. We had gotten too serious, and I freaked. And I saw how big of a mistake that was just after I left, but I was too afraid to come back

He shook his head. Shh. Dont worry about it now. Whats done is done. We dont want to ruin the future by dwelling on the past, now do we? She pulled away, looking at him strangely. Has JC been preaching his words of wisdom again?

I HEARD THAT, Little Lauren!!! Watch it! His voice echoed down the hall. She laughed. I think thats a yes. Justin smiled and pulled her back into his arms. I think were more comfortable like this. She nodded and kissed him. I couldnt agree with you more.

The End!
