Chapter Eight
"And I can't explain, but there's something about the way you look tonight, takes my breath away, it's that feeling I get about you deep inside, and I can't describe, but there's something about the way you look tonight..."-Elton John
A month later

Aaahhh! Corinne! This is nuts! I cant do this! Help me, please? Corinne sighed, and pointed to the chair. Sit down, Char. Corinne frowned, as her friend sat down, and began to twist her hair up the way she had wanted it to go. I cant believe Mons getting married. Corinne smiled. It certainly is exciting, isnt it?

Charlotte sighed. I cant wait until I get married. First I need a groom. Corinne smiled at her friends wistful tone, as she pulled a few more strands back. Hes out there, Char. Somewhere. Charlotte laughed. I know. I sometimes wish, there was a matchmaker, ya know  like in Fiddler, thatd just put someone right in front of me. Corinnes eyes twinkled, as she finished her friends hair. Matchmaker, matchmaker, make me a match, find me a find, catch me a catch matchmaker, matchmaker look through your book and make a perfect match

Charlotte laughed, joining in with her friend. Matchmaker, matchmaker Ill bring the veil, you bring the groom, slender and pale, bring me a ring, for Im longing to be the envy of all I see Corinne laughed, as they twirled around the room in their bridesmaids dresses, like two little girls. Joey, meanwhile peered in, and grinned, videotaping the whole charade. For papa make him a scholar Corinne grinned, singing loudly, as Charlotte took the next line, For mama make him rich as a king! Both girls, spun around both singing the end, For me well, I wouldnt holler if were as handsome as anything, matchmaker matchmaker make me a match, find me a find, catch me a catch,  night after night in the dark Im alone, so find me a match of my own!

The two fell onto the couch, laughing, as Joey exited quietly, smiling. Corinne, the first to regain her breath, stood up. Wed better finish getting ready. Monica will kill us if were late for any reason. Charlotte nodded, standing as well. Make-up time! Corinne smiled, and turned to see her daughter come walking in, looking very unhappy. Kaela, sweetie, whats wrong? Kaela pouted. I dont like these shoes, mommy. Corinne sighed, kneeling down. Baby, you have to wear them for the wedding. At the reception, you can take them off, alright? Kaela nodded, unhappily. I spose so. Do you like my hair?

Corinne smiled, and nodded. You look so beautiful, honey. Kaela beamed. You do too, Mommy. Everyonell think so. Corinne hugged her daughter. Thanks sweetie. Go on and find Isabella, alright? Then go on downstairs and sit patiently until everyones all set to go. Kaela nodded, scrambling down the hall. Corinne sighed. Shes growing up so fast. Charlotte smiled, applying mascara. Yeah. Shes really turning into something, alright. Youve done an awesome job, Cor. You do know that right? Corinne smiled at her friend. Thanks, Charlotte. Youd better hurry. You can finish in the limo on the way there, ok?  Charlotte nodded, taking one last glimpse in the mirror. Lets go.

The two headed downstairs, to see everyone all waiting in the living room. Joey clapped. And the two remaining bridesmaids have arrived. And we can all finally get a move on. Im sure Monica and Justin are gonna need help getting ready.

JC turned to look at Corinne and Charlotte, and his mouth dropped open. Words couldnt even describe the thoughts that swirled around his head just at that moment. Seeing the woman, he was falling in love with, descend the stairs looking absolutely stunning, was enough to steal his breath away. Her hair, half-pulled back, and the rest flowing around her shoulders, her sparkling eyes, and the way her smile lit up her face was enough to knock him dead off his feet. He felt Chris nudge him, and he looked at his friend, who smiled like an idiot. Hey, dude, wipe the drool. JC rolled his eyes at his friend, and stood up. Well, are we ready to get a move on?
Rae nodded. Lets go, kids. JC smiled at Corinne and held out his arm. Shall we? She smiled, and followed him and the girls outside. The group slid into two limos and headed for the church. Dadddyyy, what if I fall down? JC sighed and looked down at his daughter. Isabella, honey, for the millionth time, youre gonna be fine. Kaela will be next to you, so shell make sure you dont trip, right Kaela? Kaela nodded, curled up next to her mom. Sure, Jace.

He smiled. Kaela, are you sleepy? Kaela nodded. Yeah. He grinned. Well, make sure youre not too tired out to dance tonight. Its gonna be one heck of a party. Kaela laughed. Ok, Jace.

JC smiled and glanced out the window. Looks like were here. You girls are gonna need to do us a big favor, ok? Make sure you dont get all crazy, ok?  Corinne nodded. Thats right. Lets go. JC opened the door, and got out, holding the door open for the girls. He watched the girls scurry inside, after Rae and Chris, and he smiled at Corinne. You look beautiful. She smiled, looking down. Thanks. She looked up and smiled. You look pretty amazing yourself. He chuckled, shutting the door, and he wrapped his arm around her waist hugging her to him. She sighed, inhaling his scent and instinctively she closed her eyes, resting her head against his shoulder.

Rae turned to look behind her and gaped at what she saw. She nudged Chris and he grinned.Shes gonna crack. Theyll be together soon enough. He wrapped his arm around his wife and they walked inside.
