"I know this is the worst possible time to be saying this, but, I.... I love you," he sighed, whispering to himself, thankful that she was asleep and couldn't hear him.
He wanted to confess everything to her. To tell her everything that he had been feeling for her, the minute he saw her for the first time in the hospital. But he knew that the timing of the situation was way off. She had more than enough things on her mind.
JC got out of his car and walked over to her side. He carefully picked her up in his arms and carried her inside. He quietly shut the door with his foot, then carried Melissa up the stairs to his room. He pulled the blankets back and slowly layed her down, then covered her up.
"Will you come lay with me?" Melissa whispered, startling JC because he thought she was still asleep. He nodded and layed down next to her, starting to panic. 'What if she was awake this WHOLE time? What if she heard what I said in the car? Oh God, I probably freaked her out by saying all of that!! Yeah way to go JC! Way to screw things up as usual!' JC sighed, silently cursing himself over and over.
JC slowly opened his eyes and looked down when he felt Melissa cuddling up close to him. She sighed deeply and closed her eyes, starting to drift back to sleep. "JC?" Melissa whispered softly. "Yeah Melissa?" JC questioned as he looked down at her, and slowly wrapped his arms around her, holding her closer to him.
"I love you too," Melissa whispered, before falling asleep with her head on his chest.
JC breathed a deep sigh of relief, then softly kissed her forehead before falling asleep with Melissa in his arms.

"Okay, so Kevin, you remember what you're supposed to do right? You go down to the studio and trash one of the tracks their working on. Make sure Johnny finds out that the track is missing before you leave. AND that he calls JC to come re-do it. Then you page me as soon as Johnny calls him so that I know Melissa will be there alone!" Brian commanded for the 5th time.
"Damnit Brian! I KNOW what I'm doing!" Kevin growled before storming out to his car. Kevin was supposed to lure JC down to the studio. Then once he was there, Kevin was to lay low and flatten all of JC's tires, stranding JC at the studio. He was also supposed to leave a rather obvious note that Brian had gotten to Melissa and that he would never lay eyes on her again.
Brian grinned to himself as he gathered up all the things he would need. "Well, the time is drawing near Melissa. I told you it was coming. And I told you it would come when you least expected it! And JC went and made the biggest mistake of his life by sticking his nose where it didn't belong! Well, none of that matters anymore, cause I'm gonna solve ALL the problems and conflicts...permanently."
