She paced around the empty room, nervously. �Where was he? He was supposed to be back more than an hour ago� Could it be taking this long? What if something went wrong with the justifications?� The unlocking of the door, startled her as she whirled around to face it. The figure walked into the room, and she smiled, knowing who it was. But when she saw the tired, worn-out look on her face, her smile turned to a look of sympathy.
�Did something go wrong?� He shook his head. �Not exactly.� He sank down into a chair and put his head in his hands. �I just want this all to be over, that�s all.� She came up behind him and began to massage his shoulders. �I know� I know. It�ll be over soon, and Lou isn�t going to bother any of you again.� He sighed. �What would I do without you?� She chuckled. �Well, let�s see� probably work yourself to death, become a zombie from lack of sleep, and not know the meaning of the word fun.� He laughed. �Probably.� She smiled as she kneaded her fingers into his shoulder blades. �It�s good to hear you laugh again.� He frowned and pulled her around to sit on his lap. �What does that mean?� She shrugged. �It means what it means. This whole law suit has gotten all of you on edge, yet the others manage to keep their head held high and a smile plastered on their face. It�s not like that with you. You�re open with your feelings. You�re angry at Lou, but sometimes it seems like you�re angry with the world.�
He sighed to himself. He knew she was exactly right. And it had to be hard for her, especially. She was high-strung, fun loving, and lived life to the fullest. His bringing her down, wouldn�t help that attitude of hers, which he had fallen so in love with any.

�Hello? Earth to JC. Come back to me.� He snapped out of his thoughts and shook his head. �Sorry, I was thinking.� She grinned. �Did anyone ever tell you if you think too much, you�ll get a huge headache??� He smiled. �Now how on earth could I get a headache if my thoughts were filled with nothing but you?� She burst out laughing. �That was a good one.� He grinned sheepishly. �Why thank you. Thank you very much.� She shook her head, her light brown curls dancing from side to side.
�You do a very bad Elvis impersonation. Now tell me what was said at the meeting today!� He rolled his eyes. �Well, aren�t we the impatient one? Honestly, Sara, I don�t really want to talk about the suit, right now, ok? I don�t think I have enough stamina in me.� She smiled sadly and kissed the tip of his nose. �Ok. Well, then, do you want to just get some sleep now?� He smirked. �What, are you crazy? There�s a party at Justin�s tonight, and I believe we were invited, my dear.� She grinned happily. �Let�s go!� She jumped off his lap and grabbed her coat. He shook his head, laughing, pushing away all negative thoughts he had and concentrated on being with the one woman he loved and have a good time at his best friend�s.

Sara walked outside to look for her boyfriend, who had disappeared about 20 minutes ago, saying he wanted to get some air. Curiously, she walked past Justin�s illuminated pool, seeing a figure lying in the hammock, swinging slightly. She frowned and walked closer. �JC? Is that you?�
�It�s me.� Came the reply. She bounded up to him and looked down at him. �What in the world are you doing out here by yourself?� He sighed. �It�s so peaceful out here.� He scooted over, allowing her to lie beside him. �See that star up there?� She nodded, as she snuggled closer to him for warmth and protection. �Well, look at it compared to that star over there. Tell me the difference between the two.� She chuckled to herself, at how silly it sounded. �That one seems brighter.� He nodded. �That�s right. Why do you think that is?� She shrugged. �I�m not sure.�
�Right now, I�m feeling like that dim star right there.� He closed his eyes, tightly. She looked over at him and enlaced her fingers with his. �Talk to me.� He breathed a deep sigh filled with emotion. �I�m scared, Sar. Really, really scared. I�m scared we�re going to lose, and everything we�ve worked so hard to accomplish is going to be thrown away. I�m scared, that in some wacked way, I�m going to lose you��
Her mouth fell open as he spoke those last words. �What did you just say?� He rubbed a hand over his tired face. �I don�t know� I�m not sure of anything anymore.� She frowned sadly, as she squeezed his hand. �Well, you can be sure of one thing.� He looked at her. �What�s that?� She smiled. �Me. You�re not going to lose me. You couldn�t even if you tried. I� I love you, JC. And we�re gonna get through this, together. Understood?� He sighed and pulled her into a warm embrace. �I love you so much, Sara. So, so much.�

~*Day of trial*~
Sara smiled. �Good luck, sweetie. I�ll be sitting in the back. Knock �em dead.� He grinned, and put his arms around her waist and drew her close. She smiled and kissed him, before letting him go into the courtroom. She watched as he walked down to take his seat beside his friends and shook her head. �Ready to go in, dear?� She looked over to see Karen smiling at her. Sara nodded and the two made their way to take their seats.
Sara sat anxiously awaiting the judge�s verdict as to who won the lawsuit. She bit her lip, wanting to know the final decision. She could see the guys were just as nervous as she, and the tension in the room was so thick, it could be cut with a knife as the judge came out. Within a few minutes, loud cheer and whoops filled the courtroom, as they declared that Nsync, had indeed won. She grinned, as she watched them congratulate each other and give friendly slaps on the back. She waited in the back, patiently until JC finally made his way back to her. He grinned, and picked her up and spun her around happily, before setting her down and pulling her into him. �Thank you. For being here for me.� He whispered into her ear. She smiled as she kissed him. �Always.� She smiled again and he leaned in for another kiss, knowing that she truly was the one for him.
