| Standing on the grassy hill the two stood side by side, hands enlaced in one another's. Looking down at the gray slab of stone, they stood in silence. "I'm sorry� I mean� it's got to be hard, right? After all, he was your dad." JC nodded. "He wasn't like that when I was young� him and my mom� we were all so happy. Never in my life did I ever dream he'd turn out like that." She nodded. "Things seemed so simple when we were younger, didn't it?" He nodded. "I'm gonna miss him. The old him. He was still my dad." She turned to face him. "It must've taken a lot of courage to kill him like you did." He nodded. "Yeah� but I couldn't let him kill you. You meant too much." She smiled and held him close, letting the wind hit her face. "At least he won't haunt my dreams anymore. How could he do that anyways?" JC shrugged. "I don't know� and something tells me I don't want to. I don't care about anything anymore, except for you." She smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him down to kiss her. He pulled away a few minutes later. "So whadaya say, we get out of here? I hear L.A's real nice this time of year." She laughed and shook her head. "I've had enough of these big cities to last me a lifetime." He nodded. "Yeah, me too." She smiled. "I love you." He grinned and held her close. "I love you too."
