Nikki put her hands on her hips. �Look, JC, it�s been fun and I feel bad for doing this, but I just don�t wanna go out with you, you�re just not my type, you�re way too serious and well, boring, and should I go on?� He looked at her. �Gee, please don�t. But what�s the deal? Is that the only reason you�re dumping me, cuz I�m boring?� She shook her head. �No, of course not, I only used you to get close to Tony�� She shrugged. �Sorry!� She walked off leaving a confused, heartbroken JC.
�At first, I was mad at Tony, but he never did anything� I guess that whole first love thing stays with you and memories come back�� he said.
Katie looked up at the sky. �Ya know what? I never liked her. I thought she was some kind of airhead that couldn�t sing worth shit�� She realized something. �Ohhh, she�s here. Isn�t she?� He nodded. �Yeah. But, dude, don�t think I�m some kind of basket case, I�m over her, it�s just the memories came flooding back� but, new subject. I overheard you and your mom conversing on the phone, what happened?� She sighed. �Mom doesn�t want me to go to school. She�s obsessed with my singing career� I love to sing, don�t get me wrong, but I wanted to check out UCLA but she�s probably called Johnny to keep me occupied.� JC grinned. �So sneak out.� She smiled. �Oh, I plan to.�
�Alright, I�ll come with you.� He said. She shook her head. �No, it�s cool. I�ll go by myself.�
�Oh, c�mon, I�m gonna be bored as hell tomorrow�� He pouted and gave her a puppy dog face. She groaned. �I hate that face. Alright, you can come tomorrow, but you gotta come back inside.�
�No, I don�t�� She grabbed his hand and pulled him. �C�mon.� She pulled him inside and saw Justin and dropped his hand. �You never told me my favorite band was gonna be here!� Chris pretended to look hurt. �What? You mean, we�re not your favorite?� Katie laughed and looked over at the door, her eyes resting on an all too familiar figure. �Oh, god� Justin, I�m tired. I�m gonna go, see ya�ll tomorrow.� She walked away quickly with Justin yelling after her. JC looked over and saw Tony coming toward them. �Hey, Justin, I�ll go with her.� He took off nearly running smack into Nikki. �JC?!� He groaned. Shit! No� �Uh, no�� He walked off outside looking for her. She looked at him. �I knew he�d send someone.� JC smiled. �We�re chickens.� Katie laughed. �Yeah, guess so.� He shrugged. �Oh, well, then. C�mon, let�s go to the hotel.� She nodded. �Ok.�

He shook his head. �Uh-uh! Empire Strikes Back is way better than Return of the Jedi.� She stomped her foot. �You�re insane! No way! Don�t even tell me Luke is better than Han.�
�He is!� He gestured with his ice cream cone. She looked stunned. �No� no!� She laughed. �And if you get ice cream in my hair, I�ll kill you� So what�s it like? Millions of fans? Screaming chicks? I�d go insane.� He laughed. �It�s alright, I get to sing. It�s overwhelming, but you get used to it.� Katie�s eyes grew wide. �I really hope there�s a back way into the hotel�� He saw what she was looking at. �Oh, shit. Run!� She looked confused. �What?!� He grabbed her hand and took off. She groaned. �Not exactly running shoes here!� They ran to the back, exploding with laughter. �Poor girl, she about had a heart-attack. JC grinned. �I�m not about to chance those elevators, I�m takin� the stairs.� She sighed. �Up to the 10th floor?� He shook his head. �Nah, 3rd or 4th, then we can get on the elevator. Come on.� She grumbled. �Dammit.� JC looked at her. �What?� She held up her shoe. �Damn shoe broke.�
He stared at her a minute before errupting with laughter. She tossed them off the side of the building. �Bye shoes.� She hit him. �It�s not funny!� Upon reaching their rooms, he turned and smiled. �Hey, thanks.� She nodded. �Yeah, thanks.�
�Night.�
�Hey JC?� He turned and looked at her. She smiled shyly. "I don't think you're boring. I never did." She gave a little wave as she walked into her room. He smiled after her, before heading into his own room.Katie changed and hopped into bed and fell asleep.
Dreams plagued her all night. It was at some club and Jackie and Josh and the guys were there, but no Matt or JC. She walked around till she saw Matt and ran over to him- he kissed her and she kissed him back, but as she released him she saw it wasn�t Matt, but� JC. She looked and saw Matt had just walked in and was headed her way.
