Chapter Four
"I still can't believe that you remembered that this is my favorite
spot." Molly smiled as she played with Justin's hand.
"Are you kidding? We came up here all the time when we started dating."
"Yeah, the last time we were up here was almost a year ago."
"That's true, but I couldn't think of a better place to share this night
with you." Justin kissed the tip of her finger.
"You're such a charmer." Molly laughed. "You must've gotten all the
ladies before I came along."
Justin couldn't help but shiver as Molly said that. He thought he caught
a hint of coldness in her voice but realized it had to be the champagne
they were drinking.
Molly looked over the steering wheel out onto the city lights that shone
below them. "I've always loved this view."
Justin studied her profile with a serious expression. "Me too."
Molly moved her view up to the bloodless moon that stared down at them.
'If there really is a man in the moon, please forgive me for what I do in
your presence.'
"Baby, what's wrong?" Justin asked her.
"What?" Molly covered her suddenly solemn expression with a smile.
"Nothing, baby, I'm fine."
"No you're not. You were crying." Justin immediately became worried.
"What's going on?"
"Really, Justin. It's nothing." Molly shook her head and laughed. "It's
nothing."
"Okay?" Justin trailed off and looked out the front window, taking
another sip of champagne.
"Actually there was something I wanted to show you." Molly kissed his
cheek before leaning over him and reaching into the glove compartment of
her car.
"What is it?" Justin looked at the stack of envelopes held together by a
rubber band that Molly just dropped into his hand.
"Justin I think you know what they are." She said sweetly.
Justin swallowed hard. "I have no idea."
"Oh sweetie, but you do." Molly licked her lips. "Don't lie to me now."
"Baby I can explain-" he started. He was cut off by her lips on his.
"No need." She licked the outline of his lips seductively. "I already
spoke to Joy."
"You know Joy?" he asked surprised.
"Oh yeah, Justin." Molly drank the rest of her champagne in one
swallow. "We work on the same floor. She came to work one day, bragging
about a guy she met the night before at a local club. Blond curly hair?
icy blue eyes? sexy."
Molly looked into Justin's eyes as she relayed Joy's description of him.
"We got to talking and I realized her knight in shining armor was you."
She smiled. "She's cute Justin. You made a good choice."
"Aren't you mad?" Justin was almost speechless.
"Oh yes baby," Molly kissed him hungrily and left him breathless. "I'm
pissed. And you, of all people should know that when I get pissed, I don't
take things lightly."
Molly picked up her flute and filled it with more champage. "Screw that."
She threw the flute out of the window and drank straight from the bottle.
"You know Justin. You could've been a little more careful." Her anger
became more apparent. "You could've gone out of town maybe or told her to
keep quiet and not brag about how good of a lay you are."
    "Molly, I?"
"Don't speak Justin!" she said harshly. She turned to him, her hurt and
anguish obvious in her eyes. Her attitude calmed suddenly. "But that's in
the past Justin. That's over with."
"Well," Justin ran a hand through his curls. "What do we do now?"
"Well," Molly put the car into drive. "We die."
"Wha-? Molly, please." Justin's screams were heard by no one that wanted
to hear them.
Molly aggressively pushed the gas pedal to the floor as the man in the
moon looked on.

The End!
