Florida Trip 2005

        July 14 - Thursday - Day 7 of our Florida vacation

        Today we drove to Tampa, on the way we stopped by Dover and took
David to lunch at chili's. We had a nice visit and a nice dinner.

Then we put the top down, popped a Dave Matthews cd in the player,
turned it up and made our drive to Tampa.
Still hoping to get tickets to the concert tonight.

We pulled to the  hotel, it was  beautiful.

We got checked into our rooms, it was a beautiful suite. Very comfortable.

I got on the internet and found 2 pretty good tickets
to the concert. Renee opted to stay in and go to
the juccuzi and relax so, Sandra and I got ready and went to the
  Dave Matthews Concert!!!!!

A fierce thunderstorm hovered over the venue for hours before the show tonight in Tampa,
 threatening to put a damper on the festivities.
Thankfully it eased up, making way for the band's set.
The show contained many open spots for jamming,
making for a bit of a more free-style, jazzy type of evening.

Today Sandra took us to a place called YBOR City.
This place was a great, very unique little place.

We went to the theater to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

We had a good time playing a few games, then we caught the trolley to
the Spaghetti Warehouse and had a good dinner.

        july 16  - Saturday -  Day 9

At 9:00 p.m. Friday night, we went to the Harry Potter book release party.
We put our name on the sign in sheet, got our order# for the line and
had some cappuccino, read a few books and waited for midnight.

all these people in costumes showed up to buy the book.
It was bloody exciting.

At midnight we picked up the Harry Potter book
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince,
We spent the day reading resting and ordering room service.
