Renee and I Started our Journey around 12:00 from Madison,MS, we arrived
in Mobile around 5:oo. Hurricane Dennis was in the gulf and, Mobile was
under a Hurricane warning, as we got to town the residents were
busy boarding up, many were already evacuating.

We checked into our room and ate supper at TGI Fridays, we made an
early night of it hoping the best for tomorrow. We had planned this trip for
months, seeing that we had a good chance of avoiding the storm, we decided
to continue on with our plans.

Day 2 - Saturday - July 9

We wroke up early Saturday to news that there was a madatory evacuration
from Mobile.There were news reports stating that the Highway we needed
to go south on was about to become one way north bound traffic for evacuration,
so we threw our things in the car and hit the road around 6:00 am.

We made it to Highway 10 east bound before the traffic got heavy.
Thankfully hurricane Dennis weakened and was far enough away that
The weather was partly cloudy perfect day for riding with the
convertable top down. The trip was a nice one after all
it took us about 6 hours to get to Jacksonville.
The Hotel was beautiful and our room was fantastic.
