The time had come to pick up our tickets. We were advised to get them no later than 3:00. Outside the doors, we were greeted by pages. They checked our IDs and we had to stand in line and go in the theater to get our tickets with the notation of "CBS GUEST."
We were told to come back at 4:30 so we went to the Hello Deli to meet Rupert Jee.
After that we still had a little time before the show so we went to the Manhattan Chili Company right next door to the theater and had a drink.
Dave talks to the audience and asks for a couple of questions. He exits and the band starts playing the opening theme song. Alan announced the guests and other opening lines. Dave comes out, delivers his monologue and moves over to the desk. The show was the standard format, they did "will it float?", the top ten list and then the guest. The show was over quickly. What a great experience, we had a wonderful time.
