Obit of Sarah Isabelle Lockett

From "The Locketts of Kentucky" by J. William Stone., 1952

Taken from Kentucky "Western Recorder":

Mrs. Sarah Isabelle Lockett was born March 13, 1823. She united in marriage with Philip F. Lockett March 20, 1844. For many years they have lived in McLean County, Ky., where they have reared to respectability three sons and seven daughters, all of whom with her husband survive her, and all are Baptists. About the spring of 1854 she and husband professed religion and united with the church at Calhoun and ever lived a faithful member of that church.

June 23, 1893 she was stricken with paralysis and four days later her soul sweetly and gently departed to be with Christ. Her body rests in the cemetery at Calhoun till the morning of the resurrection. Numerous kindred and friends mourn her decease, but we'll meet her in heaven.
