In the name of God, Amen
I, James Barton Sr. of Stewartsville Bedford County Virginia, being of sound mind and memory, do hereby make, publish, and declare this to be my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making void all former Wills by me at anytime heretofore made.
First: I order and direct as soon after my decease practicable to pay off and discharge all the debts, dues, and liabilities that may exist against me at the time of my decease.
Second: I give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Mary Fannie Barton my entire interest in all of the landed estate that I may own at the time of my decease.
Third: After paying all debts, dues and liabilities out of the personal estate that I may own at the time of my decease the balance of the proceeds that may be left, I order and direct, shall be equally divided between my five children, Volley Barton, James Barton Jr, Samuel Barton, Jack Barton, and Mary Fannie Barton. In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name the October the 26th A. D. 1903
