Committee No. 01 : SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS

Goals and Objectives:
- To provide scholarships to deserving students with financial need;
- To raise funds for scholarship awards on: vocational/technical level, collegiate and PHS teachers development program;
- To establish donor-to-scholar contacts as opportunities for guidance and counseling, among others;
- To monitor the progress of the scholars and their placement after graduation;
- To plan and implement the Foundation’s teacher development program among PHS teachers through value enirchment workshops and post-graduate scholarship studies.

Committee No. 02 : LIVELIHOOD PROJECT COMMITTEE

Goals and Objectives:
- To organize dedicated and reliable community residents who have the desire and capability to work in community service projects;
- To assist selected community leaders in initiating livelihood programs in their barangays, based on a principle of self-help, with the Foundation giving assistance by way of expert advcie and in special cases, seed money to help barangay residents help themselves in productive enterprises.
Proposed Projects/Activities:
The committee will focus its efforts on the following :

Committee No. 03 : COMPUTER CENTER

Goals and Objectives:
- To provide basic services and facilities to the deprived and under-privileged out-of-school youth, particularly in connection with the establishment, operation and maintenance of the computer center and similar learning institution;
- To grant computer scholarships to prospective beneficiaries (with priority to kins of 65ers) for training, seminars and related undertakings to enhance the development of knowledge and skills on computer operation;
- To liaise with government institutions, private associations and non-governmental organizations and institutions or to effect cooperative arrangements in favor of the beneficiaries;
- To promote and develop the efficient and effective utilization of updated scientific technological skills on computer management and operation.

School (PHS) building;
- Approval and acquisition of the permanent venue June 2003
- Raise funds or solicit donors for the following
equipment for the Computer Center:
10 manual typewriters
5 brand new computers
1 laser printer
8 wooden tables 1 m x 3 m
2 airconditioners, 1.5 hp wdo type
2 blackboards
1 office table
23 chairs
- Refurbish the acquired Computer Center.
Committee No. 04 : FELLOWSHIP COMMITTEE

Goals and Objectives:
To promote acquaintance and friendship among PHS ’65 batch members and to encourage their active participation in implementing the Foundation projects and social events.

Committee No. 05: ADOPT 200 MALNOURISHED CHILDREN

Goals and Objectives:
- To improve the nutritional status of 200 malnourished children identified as severely and moderately underweight;
- To rehabilitate the children and improve their health until such time as the project will be terminated;
- To encourage and educate mothers on proper health and nutrition;
- To encourage the practice of feeding preschoolers the right kind and amount of food.
Proposed Projects/Activities:
Timetable
- Continue the implementation of the project which Oct 2002
was launched at San Juan Elementary School last year.
Three other elementary to schools in the City of Nov 2003
San Fernando will serve as Feeding Centers for Nov 2003
sponsored pupils with malnutrition problems;
(Note: The committee with the assistance of the
Department of Social Welfare, Nutrition Center of
the Philippines and the City of San Fernando Health
Department will provide food supplements to 200
malnourished children as per the Memorandum
of Agreement signed last Sept 27, 2002).
- Coordinate with the Nutrition Center of the Philippines Monthly
for the available food supplements to be purchased and
delivered monthly to the Feeding Center;
- Solicitation of funds for the food supplements of the Mar 3, 2003
of the sponsored children;
- Frequent visit to the project site to monitor the Monthly
progress of the Monthly project.
Committee No. 06 : MEDICAL-DENTAL MISSIONS

Goals and Objectives:
- To extend the benefits of specialized medical/surgical/dental skills to no less than 1,000 indigent patients where there is a demonstrated acute need for such services;
- To adopt and support 15 elders afflicted with advance pulmonary tuberculosis;
- To adopt and support 15 elders with impaired eyesight.
Proposed Projects/Activities:
- Coordinate with barangay chairmen the holding of medical missions in the following barrios and barangays on September 2003: Bo. Cutud, Brgys San Pedro, Sta. Lucia, Del Pilar, San Jose, Lourdes, San Felipe, and San Juan;
- Coordinate with the City of San Fernando Health Department officials the medical checkp-up and x-ray of 15 elderly indigents suffering from advance pulmonary tuberculosis; turn over the boxes of TB drugs/medicine personally to each patient for dosage covering six months;
- Coordinate with the City of San Fernando Health Department ophthalmologists the testing/refraction of 15 elderly indigents with impaired eyesight; Give free eyeglasses to each one to allow them to enjoy the advantage of having clear vision. Coordinate with the City of San Fernando Health Department.
In organizing medico-surgical missions, the committee will do the following:
- Initiate or receive request for missions;
- Select and schedule places to be serviced;
- Appoint committee members/team to survey the area in advance;
- Solicit financial/logistical support from sponsors (e.g. Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, PAGCOR, private companies, agencies, associations, individuals);
- Recruit team members;
- Arrange accommodation/transportation for the medical misison team as well as for equipment and supplies;
- Implement the mission.
Committee No. 07 : PHS ANNUAL TALENT

Goals and Objectives
:
- To establish a close rapport between the Foundation and the student body of the Pampanga High School;
- To discover and develop talents among the students as well as involve them in social action as an essential ingredient of quality leadership.
Proposed Projects/Activities:
- Coordinate with the PHS principal the yearly hosting of talent contest in various areas during the Book Week celebration;
- Assign an organizing committee for the contests;
- Provide all necessary mechanics such as on participation, eligibility, rules, regulations, schedule, and judging criteria;
- Announce through brochures/flyers the contest date, time, venue and the prizes/trophies to be won;
- Solicitation of prizes and trophies from donors;
- Invite the talent winners to participate in the entertainment program during the yearly reunion of Dec. 30.
Committee No. 08: TREE PLANTING ACTIVITY

PHS 4th year Student Council Officers
Goals and Objectives:
To implement a meaningful project that would contribute to the improvement/beautification of main thoroughfares in San Fernando.
Proposed Projects/Activities: Timetable
- Arrange with the city government the permission June 2003
Adopt a sidewalk along the GPO road (from Paskuhan
Village to Celebration Bldg) and to prohibit parking of
big vehicles along that area;
- Conduct a greening/tree planting activity along Aug/Sep 2003
the adopted sidewalk from the Seedling Bank
Foundation;
a) Solicitation of 1,000 mahogany and narra seedlings
from the Seedling Bank Foundation;
b) Digging of located areas for planting of seedlings;
c) Installation of rigid wooden fences around each
planted tree for protection;
- Arrange with the concerned barangay officials Dec 2003
the turnover of the planted trees as well as
maintenance and watering.
Committee No. 09 : WAYS AND MEANS COMMITTEE

To raise funds (minimum target of P 700,000) and other resources for the support of the various projects of the Foundation particularly the scholarship and health-related services.
Proposed Projects/Activities:
Continuing solicitation from various individuals and corporate sponsors/donors and other fundraising schemes to raise the necessary finances for the Foundation projects this year:
