LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL AND GOOD

 

          As I gracefully transition to the golden years of my life, there is a popular Beatles song that plays in my mind which goes…

     "There are places I remember, all my life though some have changed

     some forever, but not for better, some have gone, and some have remained.

     All these places had their moments, with lovers and friends I still can recall

     Some are dead and some are living,  IN MY LIFE I LOVE THEM ALL"

         

If there are people I really treasure so much, it is the friends in high school who loved me and stood by me in good and bad times.  The friends who endlessly keep me young with old rerun jokes, banters about high school crushes as if time has stopped and we never really found the real and steadfast love of our life.  Thirty-five, yes dearie, 35 years after, I still love these friends and they fill up a space in my heart with their kindness and love.

 

          This is what makes reunion worth attending and Souvenir Programs worth keeping.
