he European Forum of lesbian and gay christian groups exists to work for equality for lesbian and gay people within and through the Christian churches of Europe.W
e are a growing ecumenical network of 32 groups from 16 countries. We support one another and any individuals who are facing discrimination. We also represent the member groups in discussions with ecumenical bodies, national churches, and civic and political organisations.E
ach year, at around Ascensiontide, we meet for a conference in a different country. During this conference, the Annual General Meeting of the organisation takes place with delegates from all the member groups. Women who are especially interested in networking with other European women, are welcome to also take part in the women’s preconference.T
he European Forum started off in Paris in 1982 with 16 people from 7 groups spread on 5 countries. Since our foundation, we look back with pride on our achievements, which includea constant growth in the number of member groups
