| Additional notes of interest on John Jacob: * Jacob took a leading part (an elder) in the establishment of the Reformed Church at Tusseyville, Centre County, PA. He accompanied Mr. ROSSMAN having gone on horseback to Philadelphia to appear before the synod convened there April 27, 1812 for examination. Spangler Notebook 381, page 2. * Came to Potter Township in 1806 from Bethel Township, Dauphin County and purchased the Red Mill property. * Service discharge at Lebanon, Pennsylvania still in the possession of the family; it is signed by Daniel OLDENBRUCH, Captain. src. "History of Centre County, Pennslyvania", pg 406. * Cemetary marker placed by Bellefonte DAR, "Rev War 1775-1783" * Potter Twp.
