Appearance: Dawn is 5'1 and 100 lbs. She is small boned and looks quite delicate. Dawn has short blond hair, blue eyes, and an innocent look to her. She is considered quite lovely by most, but is also very unaware of the effect she has on others. She is a conservative/casual dresser. Background: Dawn and her fraternal twin sister Wade were born in Monterey Bay, CA to Ellen and Don Welles. Their mother died in childbirth. Haunted by the reminders of his wife, Don shut himself off from his children and instead pursued a ruthless political career, eventually becoming governor of the state of California. Their world was one full of prejudice against non psychics. Testing was performed every five years, and those who failed were sent to drone camps, and segregated from the rest of the population.

The girls were exceedingly close and totally sheltered from this harsh reality until at age 22, Wade failed to pass the mandatory psychic testing requirements for their world. Dawn was devastated. Wade was sentenced to the drone camps (really death camps) and though Dawn begged her father to do something to save Wade, he refused.

Refusing to give up, Dawn turned to Logan Mallory, she and Wade's best friend. Logan helped her devise a plan to free Wade, and also told her about a new discovery she had just made a breakthrough on. She called it sliding. Dawn saw the vortex in Logan's basement and was totally amazed. Feeling there was nothing left for them on this world, Logan and Dawn planned to escape with Wade by sliding to a new, better world.

Unfortunately things went terribly wrong. Dawn was captured and Logan and Wade had to slide without her. Dawn was held in a prison camp for 6 months until her escape using an extra timer that she found at Logan's house.

Now Dawn slides, hoping to heal the wounds from her past, and one day find her sister and her best friend.

Special abilities: Dawn is a healer. People normally feel at ease with automatically.

Flaws: Dawn is insecure and somewhat closed off emotionally. She can be negative. She has no backlash from healing someone.
