Weekly Picks Entry Form Instructions
Please use this form to enter your weekly picks.
First off, You've got two different ways to email me your picks here. If your email is linked into your browser program, Click here to send an email to [email protected]. Or you can follow the instructions below to use the form.
There are actually two different ways to enter your picks using the above form. After you've filled in your name and email address, you can either (1) use the drop down boxes to fill in the team names and points that you want or (2) use the comments box to type in the teams/points that you want. Note that you don't really have to choose one or the other, I'll receive both the picks and the comments box.
And Now for your enjoyment, some disclaimers (I hate these things, but it's the only way to be fair about it all):
- The picks you submit will only be accepted if they are from the email address you originally specified when you signed up (this is the only way to defend against someone else submitting bogus picks for you).
- All Picks must be recieved (note the word received, not sent) 1 hour prior to kickoff of the earliest game of the week. Normally, the emails are delivered within an hour or two but I can't be responsible for any mail delays, etc.
- I'll try and give a confirmation email (if requested). Again, if you don't receive the confirmation it might be because of mail delays or possibly my unavailability. Please followup with a phone call or fax if you think necessary.
- In the event the form is filled out wrong with a missing point value. The losing team of that game is given a point value of 1 and all games are move up one value until the actual missing value is filled. This is true regardless of how the form is submitted (paper, email, fax, etc).
- In the event the form is filled out with a duplicate point value. Thus there has to be a missing value on your form, If the missing value is below your duplicate value, then all games rated from the missing value to the duplicate value move down 1 point in value. If the missing value is above your duplicate value, then all games rated from the duplicate value to the missing value move up 1 point in value. Then (are you still with me here?) after there are two consecutive values, the higher of the consecutive values is given to a losing team (if there is one losing team and one winning team) and the lower of the consecutive values (again if one team loses and one team wins) is given to a winning team. Whew! Got all that? It sounds more complicated than it really is, I've been using the same system since the beginning and I'd be glad to explain it to anybody that's interested.
- Feel Free to use this form to submit picks for future weeks. Try to indicate in the comments that it is not for the current week.
- If you wish to change your picks, simply resubmit another email. The latest email received will be your official picks for the week.
