ATLANTA -- Had their starting rotation not been decimated by injuries, the Braves had planned to allow Charlie Morton to spend most of this season gaining seasoning and confidence with Triple-A Richmond.
But with their original plans wrecked, the Braves have been forced to throw Morton into the fire a little earlier than desired. Now they can only hope that his recent struggles don't further diminish his low level of confidence.
"I need to software replace face in video get more confidence," Morton said. "A good outing is what would help me the most. Knowing that I'm capable of doing it would be the biggest step."
If recognition of the problem is the first step to recovery, then Morton might tight jeans face sitting at least be headed in the right direction. Coming off that start, Morton will now have a chance to overcome the greatest challenge of his young career. The 24-year-old right-hander will face a potent Brewers lineup and CC Sabathia at Turner Field on Saturday afternoon.
While Sabathia is 4-0 with a 1.82 ERA and three complete games in the five starts he's made since being acquired from the Indians, Morton has gone 1-3 with a 9.53 ERA in his past five starts. A lack of consistent command has been evidenced by the fact that he's issued 11 walks in his past 14 2/3 innings.
"I have to work on some things mechanical and some things mental," Morton said. "We'll see how it goes."
After Monday night's loss to the Cardinals, Morton was visibly distraught to the point where there was reason to worry chopard museum face watch about him. He's since said that most of his distress was caused by the fact that he'd just learned that Tim Hudson would likely be sidelined for a year while recovering from Tommy John elbow ligament replacement surgery.
With Hudson likely out until August of next season, the Braves are hopeful that Morton continues to battle through girl paper doll face illustrations his maturation process and becomes a starter they can count on entering the 2009 season.

Morton allowed a career-high eight runs on seven hits and issued four walks to the Cardinals on Monday in yet another disheartening Braves loss. Morton struggled mightily with his command, leaving too many fastballs and sliders up in the zone. The 24-year-old was briefly demoted to Triple-A Richmond last Saturday, but was needed two days later to fill an open roster spot.
MIL: LHP CC Sabathia (10-8, 3.33 ERA)
Sabathia didn't have his best stuff Monday against the Cubs, and he didn't get a decision because a defensive error by the Brewers allowed Chicago to tie the game. The Cubs would later break the tie and beat Milwaukee closer Salomon Torres. Sabathia missed his first shot at reaching 5-0 since his trade to the Brewers. His final line was four runs -- three earned -- on nine hits over 6 2/3 innings of work. He threw 124 pitches as the Cubs hitters made him work. After the game, Sabathia said, "I really didn't have my out pitch, my cutter. I was leaving that up and away and they were just looking for that. I tried to do the best I could."
