What to expect during Massage Therapy
Your first appointment generally begins with the massage therapist asking what the reason for your visit is, your medical history, your current health status, stress level and what your area's of pain are. Your therapist will get your consent to conduct any orthopeadic assessments (if Required). They will create a Treatment program from their findings and again obtain your consent. There will be occasional re-assessments as follow up in order to confirm whether your condition is improving or not. You will be respected at all times and have complete say over how you want treatment to continue or not. For a full body massage you will be asked to remove your clothing to your comfort level. Undressing takes place in private and you will be covered at all times except for the area the therapist is working on ensuring your modesty is respected at all times. You will be pillowed and positioned in a position with comfort and treatment of the appropriate area's in mind.
