are you?
Staring in the mirror back at me?
Not the beauty queen
you used to be!
Not the young mother
of a newborn child
nor the young girl
so free and wild!
But a woman trapped
in aging skin
and a proud momma
of two young men.
With love and beauty
now hard to see
but it lies…
deep inside of me!
With a free spirit
that dwells within…
…and a free spirit
that lurks deep within!
