Who am I?

Today,
I should bake a cake
To remember the man you were.
    I should make a call
To sing in celebration of your birth.
    I should present a package
For you to unwrap sealed with love.
But today,
I feel the pinpricks jab my heart,
The hot salty tears sting my eyes,
And I realize you are forever gone,
Never again to be held in open arms,
Never again to dry the tears and set my mind at ease.
So tomorrow,
I shall awake to find a new day,
I shall cuddle my babes in my arms,
I shall sing my praises upon a high,
And send my prayers through heavenly skies.
And tomorrow,
    I will let you go!
