Why did you come to Japan?
Easy English: Because of good Japanese Friends
Long Story: Summer of 1996 I had the chance to live in a mostly Asian Dorm. I made many Korean freinds over hot noodle and then I met Shinya Takahashi.
We became good friends and he moved into my dorm,
Collins Living Learning Center,  for the next 4 months. Over cups of cofee and exchanges about Japanese culture, my desire for  Japan grew.
Three other Japanese freinds contributed to my desire: Fumitaka, Masaki (now married in Osaka, JP) and Yoshinori (working in Kawasaki, JP).

To this day,
Shinya and Yoshi  are still good friends.
