Here are a couple of silver bullets for your arsenal:
Again, outbound data capability is included with all post-paid price plans.
You do NOT need to buy DataStream to get it. (You do, however need
DataStream to do inbound data or fax - toward your phone, since that
requires a second and third mobile number).
If you feel your MSISDN (mobile phone number) is not provisioned for data,
then contact Customer Care. Have them verify that the MSISDN is set for
data in the HLR. If it is not, have the TSR add it to your account. If
they give you grief, have them look into Streamline (the internal
VoiceStream support pages), then select "Services" under Rates&Services
header. Select "DataStream" in the Optional Services column. Under the
second line is a note. It reads:
Note: All Customers are provisioned with Data. They DO NOT need to purchase
DataStream to have Data provisioned. If a customer does not purchase
DataStream and uses airtime for Data/Fax transmissions, usage minutes will
be deducted from their rate (price) plan.
That should do it.
