    In this incredible column, Mr. Kristof gives intelligent rebuttals to some of his pro-Israel readers, and in the end suggests that the candidates relate to Israel with tough love - insisting they do the right thing such as not attack Iran and halt settlement building and expansion. The two issues covered the most are settlements and the wall. Also discussed is the point that if Israel does not help the two-state solution happen, then the one-state solution will happen because of the demographics.

    This article describes a video shot by a Palestinian girl of an IDF soldier shooting a Palestinian POW protester in the foot. The IDF says it has started an investigation into the incident because the incident violates Israel military law. The article also describes the controversy surrounding Israel's separation barrier in the West Bank which is what he was protesting against.
  • BBC News: Mid East deal possible, says PM (20 July 2008).
    This article describes British PM Gordon Brown's views of the Middle East conflict. He is optimistic about peace, but opposes the settlements and seems to oppose the occupation including the wall. He is also giving the Palestinians an additional 30million pound grant to help with economic development and security training.
