I am a birth guide- someone to help you along your mysterious journey-guiding you when you need it, helping you back on the path if you step off, watching in wonder when you don't, and always supporting you.
I provide caring labor support and photography to women in Palm Beach Counties and a few others when needed.. I offer support for all birth situations: unmediated, inductions, epidurals, cesarean, VBAC, teen mothers, hospital, birth center and home births. I believe that all women know instinctually how to give birth. My goal is to help women believe in themselves, trust their body and overcome any preconceived ideas they may have about giving birth. Birth is a celebration and I would be honored to be a part of yours!
I feel that everyone who wants a Doula should have one. Therefore if my fees are the only reason you would not hire me please contact me. Although I don’t work on a set sliding scale I am willing to reduce my fee and barter if the situation permits. So please contact me before you choose to not have one over monetary issues.
I also feel that if we do not click, or you would like to interview other doulas there is a link on my favorite links page to a Doula or two of who I recommend. Again, it’s very important for me to encourage your best birth experience. The birth is your birth, not mine, so if I'm not the one who works best for you, I will help you find someone who does.
I also like to add, even if you don’t choose me for your Doula or decide not to have one, I am still available by email or phone for any questions you may have about your pregnancy, breastfeeding, parenting etc. If I don’t know the answer I will find out or refer you to someone who does.
About me! I am a mother of 2, Emmaleigh Victoria born 7/11/00 and Jacob Michael born 10/16/01. . I’m very happily married to my husband Michael we were married April 17th, 1999. I have always been fascinated with the entire birth experience from conception to birth to raising children in a peaceful way. Although I attended births before I was a doula, I took my Doula training in February of 2003 and have gone full force into learning all I can about my field.. I am constantly looking for ways to improve my mothering skills and I’m a big advocate of breastfeeding and attachment parenting. I have experience with hypnobirthing, bradley, lamaze, homebirths, twins, breech vaginal births, special needs babies, preemies and more! I’ve taken a Redirecting Children’s Behavior (RCB) and Conscious Discipline for the purpose of peaceful parenting. I’ve also taken courses for personal growth that have been life changing for me. I also enjoy scrap booking,my salt-water aquariums, animals, dolphins, reading, spending time with my family and connecting on a deeper level that can sometimes be overlooked in busy days, and hanging out with other doulas! And also attending more personal growth courses as an assistant and helping others on their paths to peace in their own lives.
