Large gambling ships such as the Palm Beach Princess (above) and the Texas Treasure (below) operate from the Port Of Palm Beach.  Gambling is legal once the ships are three miles out to see.  The ships make two 6-hour cruises each day.  The ships are easily seen from Peanut Island.

The Lake Worth Inlet channel is dredged (32') to accommodate large cargo and cruise ships such as these.  Peanut Island was created from the spoil of this dredging!
