Nothing Will Get You A Ticket Faster Than Allowing Passengers To Dangle Their Feet Off Of Your Bow Local law enforcement hates this! The reason is obvious... if the passenger were to fall off the bow, they would get pushed under the boat and chewed up by the propeller. The fatal accident would happen in a matter of seconds. Once the person is in the water, there is too little time for the captain to react. A bow rail will not protect you from this accident. It would only take one monster wake (abundant in this area) to knock your bow-riding passenger into the water. You may see a lot of people bowriding, but that doesn't make it legal, safe or smart. |
