WHAT IS HERESY? AND SINNING AGAINST THE FAITH!
Many Catholics are horrified to hear such expressions
and are disconcerted when these terms are used in connection with sins
they find hard to believe could have a bearing on themselves.
The general ignorance of these sins is widespread and
needs clarification.Below is the definition of heresy.
FORMAL
HERESY:
VOLUNTARY AND PERTINACIOUS ERROR against the faith.The negation of one
truth of faith implies a grave sin of heresy and therefore total apostasy
from the Faith because the heretic rejects the authority of God as the
Author of all revelation. The formal sin of heresy also necessarily
carries with it apostasy because the HERETIC REMAINS OUTSIDE OF THE
CHURCH.
MATERIAL
HERESY:
INVOLUNTARY ERROR, for inadvertence or ignorance being involuntary, there
is no formal sin of heresy and therefore it does not carry with it
apostasy from the faith.But one would be able to apostatize if he did not
put the means at his reach to leave his error.
Sins against the faith, including heresy, are sins
against the First Commandment of God. The Palmarian Catechism Superior
Grade (1992) teaches (Ch. L, II, p. 44):"He sins mortally against the
faith, who denies the existence of God or any other truth revealed by Him
and taught by the Church or puts these truths in doubt!"
The sin of Heresy when it is obstinate and pertinacious
leads on to worse sins, as was the case of Luther in the 16th century. The
supernaturally infused virtue of faith, which enlightens reason to grasp
and believe the truths of Faith, is extinguished in the soul, leaving its
victim to "Spiritual Blindness" and "Aberrations" in
all things religious. Was this not the story of the Protestant
Reformation? Can we learn from history?
At the time of the "Protestant Revolution,"
how many people lost the faith for following blindly and unthinkingly
"errant leaders" like Luther, Calvin, Henry VIII, John Knox
etc.The majority took refuge in "convenient obedience," which
was the easy course.They preferred themselves and their own interests
before making a stand for the truth. They shunned Martyrdom. That is why
at that time there were few Martyrs in comparison with the majority.Entire
nations lost the Faith:England, Scotland, Switzerland, the Low Countries,
the best part of Germany, etc.
History demonstrates how peoples have been led to lose
the faith unwittingly, as is the case in the Apostasy of the Church of
Rome today..The phenomena of the Post-Conciliar Church embracing
"wholesale Heresy" and obliging the Holy Spirit to abandon it
should not be forgotten ,, as though the same thing in miniature cannot
happen again in the Palmarian Church..Thiswithout detracting in any way
from Rome's or Palmar's glorious past.
The Palmarian Catechism, Superior Grade 1992 has this
to tell us about the historical consequences of the sin of apostasy (Ch.
L, nº 5, page 43):
"By Divine decree, humanity from the beginning was
obliged to pertain to the church.The fact that a numberless quantity of
people have never pertained to the true church is due to the fact that
some of their ancestors apostatized from the Church and the descendants
have gone on inheriting the apostasy. Besides inheriting original sin,
they inherit also the sin of apostasy" (understood material
apostasy!).
The words of Jesus in the Gospel, "Watch and pray
lest you fall in temptation," are to be applied to us Christians
today as much as they applied to the Apostles in Gethsemani. The lack of
prayer and penitential life is what debilitates the Spirit, and when the
moment comes to give witness to the truth, souls are found
deficient!Honest Palmarians face serious problems confronting the
Palmarian Bible, about which indifference is no escape.If the thesis is
accepted as proved, that the Palmarian Bible is heretical (which I believe
these letters have adequately done, and if needed more abundant proofscan
be given!).
The immediate danger for the faithful lies more in an
unwillingness to confront difficult spiritual truth and decisions, and in
the tendency in fallen man to choose the "easy option," which is
to conduct the unwary to Formal Heresy and Sinning against the Faith.
We witness the undisguised Pharisaism of the Palmarian
Hierarchy in Seville and their impositions upon the faithful of the Penal
Code of Rules and Regulations that smother the Spirit of the law and Epiqueia
(Epiqueya = interpretation of Laws according to circumstances, time,
place and person)!"
Those that are free of Seville's jurisdiction are not
obliged to believe as truth Heresy. We are "outside" for love of
the Truth, to defend the Truth and attack and condemn error.Meanwhile
those within find themselves obliged to swear adherence to the Palmarian
Bible and follow Heresy.
