THE ENEMIES OF THE SOUL-THE STRUGGLE FOR SANCTITY

The spiritual health of people depend on their disposition to oppose the enemies of the Soul that is the world, the flesh and the devil.

Jesus taught, If your eye scandalizes you, take it out (Treatise 32 v 57). These words must not be taken literally but demonstrate the spiritual violence it is necessary to do to defeat the enemies of the Soul so as to be saved. Sometimes a greater decision is needed to circumcise the eye or the hand to conserve the spiritual life of grace in the Soul.

In other words a constant mortification is required of the senses, eyes, curiosity and fleshly appetites besides a rigid  practised discipline over oneself. Mortification is the Penance heaven requires of Souls today. In this way we are cutting out the eye that offends.

The life of a true Son of the Church is a continual fight against the Enemies of the Soul as is made constant in the Book of Job.

The life of Man upon the earth is a warfare and His days are like the days of a hireling       ( Job. VII. 1 ).

The truth is those who triumph over these enemies will possess Life Eternal.  Something all should daily meditate as Jesus said in the Gospel; the Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence to be taken

He is referring to the opposition  the enemies of the Soul make against those that desire to reach the Kingdom of Heaven…….(Treatise c 30  v100).

Many  good people today are deceived by the apparent peace and prosperity that the children of darkness appear to enjoy. An enjoyment that is founded on the pleasures and comforts of the flesh .For them the fight has ceased and by their cowardliness and refusal to confront the enemies of the Soul they have  become Slaves to Sin and have fallen under the power and tyranny of Satan, Prince of this World.

Satan is unconcerned with these people and does not bother about them as they are  already under his power, he leaves them, so they can enjoy a false peace to go on sinning.

It was Original Sin that debilitated Human Nature and made it subject to the influences of the Enemies of the Soul. Today the temptations of the flesh are made more potent by the actual Society of the World, that feeds and elements forbidden fleshly desires fermenting and arousing men to sin at every moment. For this reason we can label Modern Society the first model of the  future degenerated Anti Christian Society.

The temptations are overcome by,

1.Resisting the Seductions of the World, those of Satan and our own flesh.

2.Fleeing from occasions of Sin above all foreseeing and avoiding entering into these occasions.

3.By a constant regimen of prayer, penance and especially mortification. In the times in which we live the faithful share graces as obligatory 3^rd Order Members which are powerful helps to direct spirituality in a quasi-religious way towards the end to fortify our spirits to resist.

4. By frequenting the Sacraments when it is possible. In past historic ages access to the Sacraments was limited. Now we know from the Treatise that the faithful participate in a measure in all the Masses being celebrated anywhere by reason of THE SUBLIME AND MYSTICAL CO-IMMOLATION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE CHURCH MILITANT IN A STATE OF GRACE.

This doctrine teaches us, that a member in a state of grace receives automatically an argumentation or co-penetration of the already enthroned deific particle of the heart

of Jesus, that contains Jesus whole and entire. This particle is the means by which Our Lord indwells and remains on the throne of the heart of the member after Holy Communion.

At the same time the member is penetrated by the drop of blood of  the Divine Mary that contains all Maria indwelling also on the throne of the heart in the form of a particle of her Hyperstatic glorified Blood that contains herself whole and entire. This is able to be by reason of her Gift of Sacramentality proper only to a person enthroned in the Holy Trinity or said in another way someone who is elevated to the maximum deific state called the Marriage of the Lamb.

This gift of Sacramentality makes her really and truly present in the Eucharist in concomitant form, in kneeling position, adoring God and interceding for Humanity.A Metaphysical Dogma declared by Pope Gregory XVII at the very beginning of his reign in 1978.

So now you understand how Jesus and Mary are literally the King and Queen of our Hearts and rule seated on the throne of our Hearts and how more comprehensible are the words of Our Lord, The Kingdom of Heaven is within you or we live the Interior Reign of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. The same can be said in a simpler theological way when we speak of an increase in Sanctifying Grace with all its concomitances.

This participation in the Masses occur spontaneously as we members of the Church receiving unceasingly the divine sap that emanates from the Mystical Olive Tree of the Church; from her essential Priestly actions whereby  is constantly renewed and poured out graces in Masses and liturgical acts performed in benefit of the Church, even though the members might not be physically present or in attendance.

This church action explains how spirits can remain robust in the faith although these days they are deprived for long periods of  Masses and Sacrament reception. Spiritual Communions also effect this ORDINARY IMMOLATION and should be fervently practised and not neglected.

So it is seen that the Divine Dew of grace is never lacking in its influx into the hearts and Souls of the faithful wherever they might be in any part of the World. This ordinary co-immolation as it is called is not to be mistaken of course for the EXTRAORDINARY IMMOLATION, which comes from personal attendance at Holy Masses and from Sacramental Communion when Souls receive an extraordinary increase in Sanctifying Grace with the concomitant co-penetration of Jesus and Mary in their hearts and souls.

5.A fervent Spiritual Life should be lived feed by prolonged Spiritual Reading. This is very necessary to fuel the faith so we might renew the faith daily with greater zeal for God and his glory.

6.Devotion and Invocation of the Blessed Virgin Mary,St Joseph and the Saints.

It does not pass unperceived to the eye of an observer the deplorable consequence of habitual intrinsic grace starvation a process by which  Souls are put on the path of a return to Ancient Paganism. Especially to be  noted  in Nominal Christians is the state of spiritual  anaemia that many suffer as a consequence of  long time deprivation of Sanctifying Grace.
