Well all, I�ve found my first fan. I�m pretty excited � I guess. But it�s a bit odd because she�s my boss! The new manager showed up last week, and yes I had nothing but bad things to say about her. I just knew we were going to clash, and I couldn�t fathom working there even till the 13th. But then I worked with her the first day, and she seemed ok. And THEN � then I found out from everyone that �Dude Toymeka really likes you�. She exclaimed to everyone that she thinks I rock (which of course I do) and blah blah blah. Then she wanted to hang out the other night, invited me to Thanksgiving dinner with her, and even walks outside with me when I get off just to �chat�. I found it a little odd, but hey, I am supra-cool, so whatev�Yesterday however I thought, uh oh here it comes� she corners me to tell me she heard that I�m leaving in December and why didn�t I tell her, and that puts her in a hell of a bind, and when was I going to tell her and blah blah blah. I told her, dude I�m sorry but I�m not going to NOT go home for Christmas just for this job, and I knew that company policy wouldn�t grant me more than 4 days, so too bad, I would be putting my two weeks in this week. She stares straight at me, takes this deep breath, stone faced and says �Well� I hate to lose you. And I�ll put you as a re-hire when you come back so you can have your job back.� What the ?! Can I NOT get fired from this job? I guess I can do no wrong to my super fan�
