So with a bit of effort and a lot of goodies shipped over from the states I was able to bring a bit of Halloween spirit over to England. For just about everyone the experience was a totally new one. This is Alex (ex-president of the Imperial College trekking club) trying to figure out what to do with a Hershey's kiss. | ![]() |

And some people took the carving process to an entirely different level... Forget pumpkin carving, this was pumpkin surgery! | ![]() |
![]() | Since trick-or-treating is (A) not really for people in their twenties and (B) not possible in London, we had a scavenger hunt in the city. This is our group outside the Paddington Hilton Hotel after collecting a reservation form and getting the bellman to sign it with "Happy Halloween"! |
As we were leaving the Dickens Tavern (stealing beermats) a number of polish tourists started running up to us yelling "Halloween"! They wanted their picture taken with our merry little band... and we agreed so long as they took one with my camera too. | ![]() |

And me acting like quite the werewolf. | ![]() |

Even the queen turned up to pay her respects in the end. | ![]() |
