These are pictures from my trip to the Dachau concentration camp.

The front gate to Dachau. This is where everybody who entered the camp was inprocessed. It was here that they gave up three things; their property, their rights, and their human dignity.

The sign for the front gate building. It describes the interior layout of the gate building and it purposes.

The main parade ground. It is here where the prisoners were forced to stand motionless for hours during roll call in the mornings and evenings.

There were 30 barracks for the prisoners. Even these 30 were barely enough to house all of the prisoners. Two barracks have been rebuilt exactly as they were when the camp was in use. Foundations are all that remain of the 28 other barracks.

A rack of bunks for the prisoners.

Another rack of bunks.

The prisoner's shower room inside the barracks.

The foundations are all that are left of the 28 barracks buildings at the camp.

Stones like these mark the 28 remaining foundations.

Gaurd towers like this one surround the camp connected by an 8-foot barb-wire fence.

This chapel stands at the opposite end of the camp from the parade ground. Don't mind the camera strap.

A bell stands just outside and to the right of the chapel.

This memorial is at next to the chapel and this sign dedicates the memeorial to the Jewish martyrs who died here.

Outside the fence near the back of the camp is the incinerator buildings. This stone sits right outside the fence on the path to the incinerators.

This memorial is located outside the fence near the incinerator building.

This memorial statue stands right outside the incinerator building.

This set of incinerators is located inside the main building and is roped off from the public. This set was built because the old incinerators could not keep up with the dead bodies. It is open with nothing stoping people from going inside the buidling. No one would though. We all stood on the steps and just looked inside.

Inside the incinerator building is a gas chamber. Fortunately it was never used as such.

Outside the incinerator buildings is a walkway on which are many graves like this. Also on this path is an execution range for both rifles and pistols.

Perhaps the most famous memorial in Dachau is this one located at the front of the camp's parade ground.
