RULES
- Must give a speech on a self-chosen Virtue. Length and makeup are not regulated. One must realize however that choice and thoroughness will reflect on your character's dedication. Time will be given to prepare for this. This must be given to a minimum audience of the Patriarch and one member of the Council. It is highly recommended to work it out that the Mayor and the Captain as well as the initiate's mentor is present.

- Must have a presence within the Kingdom constantly demonstrating their role-play abilities insofar as playing an initiate, performing initiate training and duties, interacting and building relationships with fellow Kingdom members.

Take part in as many Kingdom events as possible. No one can be present for everything and this is taken into account.

- If new to the role-play community then you must demonstrate a marked improvement in role-play skills over time. Assistance can be received by asking through our message forums or ICQ. Please, if you need help or have questions contact someone within Inethria and ask. All are willing to help.

- When logging into UO use guild chat only to initially say "Hello" and let others know you are in game. Not everyone monitors ICQ or has each other so it is good to know who is on. Other than that use guild chat only when it is a last resort. The more we use it the less we role-play as we should be. (Thanks to Filbert for this idea)

- Will be given quests to perform. These may be from the mundane to the extravagant. Some may not be able to be completed, you may never know which are which. Do your best to complete them as directed. In some things it is the attempt that counts and not the results.

-No one will disrespect any member of Inethria or the role-play community in general. If there is an issue and you may lose your cool, put down the mousy slowly, step away from the keyboard, and assume the position...logged out. Once things settle contact someone within the Kingdom hierarchy you are comfortable with and discuss it with them. There will be no arguments in anger allowed in game between members. Good discussion, differences of opinion and open debates are fine as long as it is kept on a friendly leve.

- Paladins are not Knights. We share many of the same codes and belief systems. Take it up a couple of notches and you have a Paladin. In as far as his dedication to the Virtues he should be just under the annoying mark. No raving zealots and witch hunts...but close.

-The ladies of the kingdom are inviolate. It does not matter if they are dressed in fine silks and jewels or in the garden in leathers muddied to the elbows. It does not matter if its escorting her to a session of court of helping them take out the garbage. Be polite, gentlemanly, and subservient yet don't force the situation.

- Can marry and have relationships if one chooses. Paladins are "married to the job" so to speak. So be careful with this. It does allow for some interesting rile-play though. If one interferes with the other in an extremely negative way one may have to go.

- Use and follow your chain of command. Jumping this is a sure way to get on the dung roster.

- All members must take an active role in bettering the Order and community at large.

- In all, consider your true motivations. It is at time quality over quantity and in others it is the reverse. Every occasion and opportunity is different. If you are doing something just so you can get something in return it is time for a head check and rethink your position within the Order. We do because we can and want to as is our duty and not for any worldly or otherworldly rewards.

- One thing to always remember is as an initiate (even a paladin and high paladin) you will be tested in both obvious and not so obvious ways. Entrapment is illegal in the real world...we however play in a virtual one. Your reactions and actions to any stimuli may be observed or reported to determine your state and progress. Nothing will be "made up". We all must live with the consequences of our choices made in the heat of the moment.

- You will receive constructive criticism from many avenues. Embrace the fact and accept it as it is intended. We all need nudges now and again to improve and refine our role-play skills. Try to be proactive and not reactive. If you know you have deficiencies ask for help and you will receive some. Do not wait until someone says negative things and then blow up.

- In game on your KoI Order character you will remain IC at all time. No excuses and no exceptions. We do not want to hear things like- "Well I was at Skara bank and thought it was okay to act/talk like that because there was only dewds there", or if you are embarrassed in front of your power players when role-playing maybe this is not the right choice. Some will mock you, some may taunt your...get over it. Learn to deal with it as you never know who is around that corner or in that building. Use ICQ, email, forums and as a last resort guild chat for anything OOC.

- Though it was mentioned before of getting all the help you need, we are neither a charitable ograniziation nor anyone's personal bank. You must make a decisive effort to arm and equip yourself as well as meet the Order requirements. The Order will help but there is a difference between help and handout

-You will not contradict your superior officers or leaders. Do as you are told and question it after in a proper fashion. Now on this, if you ask someone where the privy and they tell you...go in the keep, up the back stairs, turn left and take 2 steps, turn left again for 5 steps, then turn right and take 6 steps and you're there. You then look up from your feet as see the throne...don't use it as a privy. Some common sense is required here.

- Do not KOS (kill on sight) anyone. There are a few exceptions such as Undead, Orcs and Vampires. You must always be sure as you never know what storyline may be involved. It is highly recommended you always make some sort of verbal announcement to those whom you decide reasonable to KOS. For example, when stumbling upon a known vampire the Paladin would emote, "draws sword" then speak the Order moto, "For Truth, Love and Courage!" before actually attacking the vampire. This is to give the player of the vampire a chance to arm himself as well as to abide by the rules-of-engagement set by the role-play community.

- Feel free to go above and beyond the call of duty. This is not a requirement but any help will be greatly appreciated in an OOC manner.
