Background:
Ivor Macgregor was raised on his father's farm in Yew where he learned vital militant skills from constant raids from the Shadowclan Orcs. After the death of his parents due to natural causes, Ivor sold the farm and joined The Free Corp as a hired mercenary to fight in the Necropolis/Yew wars. It was there Ivor honed his skills in combat and military tactics. Ivor soon discovered the effectiveness of poison first hand from the undead assassins he faced in the wars. After serving in the Free Corp, Ivor became a student to the assassination arts and became a sought after, for-hire assassin. Ivor's turning point came when a corrupt politician in Britain offered Ivor a large purse to assassinate a well-known and politically influential Paladin of Trinsic. Ivor met his match in the Paladin. Being a master of the Virtues, the Paladin leveled Ivor to near death but to spare his life out of compassion. In awe of the Paladin's deed, Ivor became his student. Ivor quickly turned from his dishonorable profession to follow the ways of the Virtues. Ivor left Trinsic to travel the lands after years of study and guidance from the aging Paladin. Ivor now began to use his abilities to serve the people of the lands instead of profiting from them. Upon his travels Ivor came upon the Kingdom of Inethria where he quickly found his place. It was here Ivor founded the Paladic Order of Inethria. Ivor enlisted the help of a knightly man named Mandrake to help construct a paladin hall worthy that of the Kingdom. After paying close attention to the man, Ivor offered Mandrake a position in the Order as it's first initiate. Mandrake learned the virtues at an inhumanly fast rate and quickly became Ivor's right hand and go-to man for nearly every situation. Indeed Mandrake became Ivor's most valued and trustworthy friend. Ivor and Mandrake went on, and to this day, to gather, write and compile a vast collection of information and teachings on the Virtues. And so beings the story book of Lord Ivor MacGregor... |
