The Input Output Law

by Pukhtoon Khan

The Input Output law states that: "There is no Output without Input. Input means effort whether it is in the form of thought or action or both. Man is solely responsible for his actions because what happens to him is the output of his input. This has been the presumption of all the ethical codes, religions, moral philosophies and systems of life.

The collective input, efforts and struggle determine what is going to happen to a nation. With the help of Input Output law, the behavior of man as well as cultures can be engineered by applying the laws of psychology and collective behavior. It should be noted that:

1. Effort can be individual as well as collective.

2. Effort may or may not result in the required result (output) due to the reason that it might not be the correct input.

3. The real challenging task is to know the correct input, that is: What should be done in order to achieve a certain result? .This is the first, foremost and fundamental question which should be answered in all sciences. By giving this point a serious heed, one can easily conclude that all the progress in human knowledge is nothing except an endeavor to answer this question.

4. Input might be and can be the output of another input so it is a challenge for us to either find out (if it is not known) or point out (if it is not clear) the correct input in order to achieve a certain output.

5. The law of probability is the biggest hurdle in the way to achieve a certain output.

6. Man has to do a lot of experimentation and homework to be able to either find out a new input (using his creative faculties) or point out the right input (using his faculty of logical reasoning) for a certain output.

7. The problem of finding the right input to get the required output becomes critical when it comes to solving collective problems of a society or a nation.

8. If a nation has to solve a problem or issue which decides its fate and it has not done homework (input) then the nation is destined to become history.

If a nation has put the required effort (input) to solve its national or collective problem then the input output law for collective behavior comes into action and the nation produces leadership which has the ability to save the nation. The leadership has to first plead and then lead the nation on the basis of its vision. If the leadership of a nation is backed by intellectuals then the leadership with the help of intelligentsia can mould the collective energy of a nation to achieve national targets.

Let us consider examples from history to understand the operation of Input Output law.

1. In 70s the point of view of nationalist groups proved to be correct when Bengalis founded a separate state due to the exploitation and atrocities of Punjabi dominated military establishment. The founding of Bangla Desh was the output of two inputs viz The policies adopted by the establishment of the then West Pakistan to exploit the resources of East Pakistan and the freedom struggle of Bengalis to form a separate state of their own.

2. The political instability of Pakistan is another example. Political stability is the output of political process. Military has been in rule in Pakistan and has been justifying its illegitimate rule and role by indoctrinating the masses about its sanctity and preventing democracy to flourish. Consequently in Pakistan the decision about the change management is performed in Pentagon instead of Parliament and the Chief Justice has to beg for Justice if he tries to give justice to the oppressed masses in a dictatorial regime. It is the output of the 60 years old input of the Pakistani people who did not raised their voice against military intervention in time and let the Djinn become powerful by keeping silent. This is the time for the people of Pakistan to take a bold step about the fate of Military and future of Pakistan, failing which they have to face the music of Input output law.
